MemberHi Brendan.
I believe you are comparing your server’s time/timezone and your WordPress installation’s time/timezone.
If you take a look at your System Information report, I believe it outputs both of those pieces of information (and lots more).
I hope this helps you toward your goal, whatever that may be.

MemberHi Eric. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Is there a URL available where I can see this error in action?
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please share your System Information. That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi Wayne. Thanks for reporting that error.
Could you please describe where you were (what page or URL) or what you were doing (e.g. creating a recurring event in wp-admin) when you saw this error?
Cliff
MemberHi Robert.
Thanks for your thorough question.
I opened the iCal file in a text editor and saw there were many, many events. I see some events from the year 1970 (is this on purpose?)
Anyway, I put that URL in this iCal file validator, and it did not validate, which is the first step in making sure an iCal file will be imported properly. Therefore, please address that first.

MemberI think you’re mixing up the two ways to include custom code.
Just put your custom code in your child theme’s functions.php file and delete the tribe-events-excerpt-length.php file and see how things go.
Cliff
MemberAh, I thought you stated the WP_DEBUG message was also appearing when Event Rocket was disabled. Thanks for clearing that up.
Our demo site’s Photo View looks just like the Photo View screenshot you provided.
I compared to our version 3.12.x Photo View and it looks the same; it does not display Location or Organizer information as far as I can tell.
Do you have a screenshot of the Photo View you’re expecting on the latest version so I can compare the two?
Thanks!
Cliff
MemberExcellent. Thank you for sharing your code too!
Cliff
MemberThanks to both you and Avada’s support for your determination. Sorry it’s been difficult for you.
Welcome to WordPress customizing!
Best practice for adding custom code (like to implement a PHP snippet to modify The Events Calendar) is to create a functionality plugin, unless it’s something specific to your theme, in which case best practice is to make sure you’re using a child theme, then add the customization to your child theme’s functions.php file.
I don’t believe there is an “unlimited” option, but if there is, it’d be -1. If negative one doesn’t work, you’d just have to put a really high number, like 9999.
I hope this information helps! Please let me know if you need anything else.
Cliff
MemberI apologize if you feel ran-around. That’s definitely not my intention.
As stated before, we cannot reproduce this issue on our latest versions.
In speaking with one of our developers, we agreed there shouldn’t be any WP_DEBUG messages — so something isn’t right with the code on your server or some customization/code snippet you have (possibly in your theme’s functions.php file).
Tribe__Events__Main::getOptionis only found in our Importer’s code so it shouldn’t be generating any WP_DEBUG messages anywhere else, like on your homepage or an Events Category page. However, I believe the Event Rocket plugin does use that function/method to generate its Photo View, which I believe is in use on your homepage.
If deactivating Event Rocket doesn’t solve your issue, please leave WP_DEBUG true and send me a screenshot of your homepage with Event Rocket deactivated.
Thank you for your persistence helping debug (and hopefully resolve) this issue.
Cliff
MemberThanks for your thoroughness.
https://snappersgrill.com/event/first-responders-night/ does not seem to have any tickets, and https://snappersgrill.com/event/hard2guard/ has “Purchase tickets” in the upper-left of the event (so you’re talking about a custom display and not modifying something Event Tickets already displays, right?), but I still think I understand your question…
I believe I understand what you’re asking for, but we’re limited in helping with customizations, per our Scope of Support / Terms. However, I can try to help point you in the right direction.
You might want to check out the get_event_tickets function and see if that helps you.
Cliff
MemberThanks a lot.
The only thing I saw was different (besides the Eventbrite Event ID) was the setting for the “When this post is updated…” option. Could you try changing that and see if the Tickets then work?
Cliff
MemberGlad to hear. As of right now, it’s likely a filter will be added within the next few months. Keep an eye on the changelogs.
Thanks!
Cliff
MemberHi Cindy. If I understand your messages accurately, you’re wanting the excerpt to be longer.
This article (not from us so not guaranteed) offers some additional information about WordPress excerpts.
Please let me know if this helps you get the job done or if you have any follow-up questions.
