MemberDo you have a backup of your site’s database from before Event Aggregator?
Cliff
MemberGlad things are moving forward.
Please go to wp-admin > Events > Settings > Import tab > “Import Date Range Limit” option (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-aggregator-import-settings/)
Please let me know how this goes for you.

MemberCould you please send a screenshot like https://cl.ly/d4cf4cd5d920 from your site?
Cliff
MemberHi. Thanks for your purchase, but sorry to hear you’re experiencing this.
Please re-save your Permalinks at wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks and see if that resolves the issue.
If not, this isn’t currently a confirmed issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to edit your wp-config.php file to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
If there’s nothing obvious (such as a console error or WP_DEBUG message) pointing you to what might be the problem, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Note that https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/ may prove helpful as well. (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
If you still need assistance with this, please share (or re-share) your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply.
That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi, Carl.
1)
There are some generic WordPress plugins to make all external links open in a new tab; you might check out one of those. If you just want certain event links to do so, you’d have to specify which ones, such as event website, organizer website, or venue website.
2)
You could do so using one of our plugin’s widgets or shortcodes.
===
Last but not least, we have Bundles and a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
Cliff
MemberHi. It should be enabled by default, but you can control it at https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/subscriptions/
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberHi. Sorry your site’s performance isn’t great.
If it’s not a concern for your site, you might want to just delete past events. This is an option available at wp-admin > Events > Settings > General tab (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wp-admin-settings-overview/#general)
Note that moving events to the Trash isn’t going to help cleanup your database/site speed.
How many events do you have (a screenshot would be fine)?
Cliff
MemberAs suggested by https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/8962585-re-think-the-seo-to-cut-down-on-duplicate-content, I think it’d be easy to add a rel=canonical to the “See All” event series archive (e.g. https://my420tours.com/calendar/greenhouse-grow-tour/all/). That way the next upcoming events are shown.
Would that be a good path forward for you?

MemberYou’re welcome. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
Cliff
MemberHi. I can try to help here.
So you’re saying the migration didn’t bring it over to your saved imports at wp-admin > Events > Imports > “Scheduled Imports” or “History” tab?
If not, you could search your database’s postmeta table for the ‘_EventIcalSource’ or ‘_EventSavedImport’ meta key(s). Let me know if you find anything there regarding EMS Desktop Client’s data. (Note it may not be the URL you’re looking for, but please send me what you find if it might be relevant.)

MemberI think we’re saying the same thing and that the code change I recommended would solve both your issues. Feel free to make that single line change yourself in /wp-content/plugins/tribe-ext-link-venues-to-website-urls/index.php
We’ll update this thread if/when that extension gets this bug fixed.
Cliff
MemberOK, thanks for confirming. Sorry for the troubles, but I’m glad you’re squared away.
Cliff
MemberI don’t think I’ve heard of that one before…
Glad to hear and thanks for letting us know.

MemberWell that other extension is what has the bug now 🙂
Here’s a short video to explain: https://cl.ly/03329a7cb3d1
I’ll log that bug too. That customization should be easier for you if you really need it right away — to change the
return $website_url;(from the video) to something likereturn sprintf( '<a href="%1$s" target="_blank">%1$s</a>', $website_url );I’ll log the bug about the venue link just displaying instead of actually also linking.

MemberHi. I checked with management and they bumped this bug’s priority so it gets attention sooner-than-later, but it likely won’t be within 1-3 weeks.
I pinged everyone applicable to this issue today so it should definitely get some attention soon.
