November 5, 2014 at 11:39 am in reply to: Uninstall TEC Pro 3.6 to Successfully Install 3.81? #862591
Brian
Memberdoes that mean remove the folder located at hartford/wp-content/themes/pagelines/tribe-events from my theme folder, then install 3.8?
Yes I would remove all those templates and redo them with files from 3.8 as it was custom coding that caused the issue before.
Here is the steps I would take:
- Backup the site.
- Remove and backup the Events Calendar Templates from your theme
- Deactivate and Delete the Events Calendar Plugins
- Reload the Plugins and Activate
- Clear your Browsers Cache
- Check the site and make sure everything is working
- Add back in custom templates one at a time and see it creates any issues.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide support over the phone.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks
Brian
MemberI will check if you like. I will only check the Facebook Import Settings and Try to do a Import or two. You can reply here with a private reply and then I will remove the info from the forum.
Let me know.

MemberHi,
I can help you out with this.
I see the padding css you added. It appears that the Table cannot get any smaller then that so it overlaps a bit.
Try adding this css to change the font size and that should shrink the table:
@media (max-width: 850px) {
.entry-header, .entry-content .tribe-mini-calendar {
font-size: 10px;
}
}Add that css to your theme’s stylesheet or through a plugin such as Simple Custom CSS.
That will target the table only after the screen size is less then 850 pixels. You may have to play around with that to get it right and might have to duplicate that coding and change the width to a smaller size to increase the font size again on mobile devices.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks
November 5, 2014 at 7:49 am in reply to: Recurring Events sale same ticket product, need different ticket product #862210Brian
MemberHi websitecenter and ulriklund,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can answer your questions about the Tickets and Recurring Events.
This is because the recurring events are tied in to the same product which is the ticket. I need a recurring event to create a different product ticket for every single day specifically. Is this possible?
Sorry if you missed this, but on the product page we state that Recurring Events are not supported by any of our ticketing Add Ons.
So unfortunately, if that is what you are looking to do, you will have to individually add a Ticket to Each Event in the Recurring Series, which also breaks the series as you have to edit each event.
We are working on adding this feature, but I do not have a timeline for its release and I do not have a way for you to add that to your site with a snippet.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

MemberHello Again, 🙂
Sorry you are still having issues with update. Thanks for providing that link to your other ticket as well.
See my answers below:
This sounds silly, but would a complete uninstall and removal of files and then a fresh install of 3.8 be a way to go up to 3.8 without all of the earlier issues – event duplication, etc?
It is possible, but I am not sure where the Event Duplication you mention is coming from so it is hard to tell.
It appears some of these issues could be caused like the Venue Website link issue by custom coding in your theme.
It might be better to back out all your custom event calendar templates from your theme and add new files directly from 3.8 and add your changes there.
If you can provide some of the mobile oddities you are seeing and any other issue I can take a look and see what I find out.
Let me know and we can go from there.
Thanks
Brian
MemberHi, sorry for the troubles you are having.
For Automatic Import it requires that your wp-cron is active, do you have that disabled in your wp-config.php? Also, try changing the setting to Twice Daily instead of Hourly for Automatic Imports as sometimes the hourly setting does not work. (although we did fix that)
Sometimes events are not able to be imported due to the Facebook API limitations. This appears to be one of them. Please read below for an explanation:
<h3>Unsupported get request</h3>
Sometimes even when all the settings are correct, the event is not importing and you see something like the following:Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request.
or
The following errors have occurred: Either the event with ID fbeventidnumber does not exist, is marked as private on Facebook or we couldn’t reach the Facebook API. Please note that as a result, no events were successfully imported.
You maybe dealing with an Age or Country Restricted Event. Pages or Events that are associated with bars, breweries, adult entertainment, or similar things may be marked as age restricted by Facebook. Unfortunately, that means the Facebook API cannot import those events unless you or the Page owner is able to change the age restriction.
In some instances, it may be possible for you or the Facebook Page owner to change the age restriction on an event. However, this is not possible with Pages that Facebook has specifically deemed to be alcohol related or have adult content.
To try changing the age restriction, first login to the Facebook Page in question. Click on the Settings tab and look for the Age Restrictions Box.
Change the setting to Anyone(13+) and click save and try to import events again from your website. If you are still seeing the error, that means that Facebook itself has marked your content as 18+ or 21+. In these instances, we are unfortunately not able to import the event, either manually or automatically.
November 5, 2014 at 7:23 am in reply to: Community Events, Custom Field Suite and Gravity Forms #862157Brian
MemberHi,
I am not really sure if it is possible to send the title to Gravity Forms. You cannot embed a form in a form so you would have to create a function to send the title yourself and create an entry.
There maybe a way to add more Additional Fields then we provide, but it would involve custom coding to create the field and hooking into the form saving and updating process to get it to work.
A work around to that maybe to use Javascript for the custom fields and just use a text field to save the content.
That is about all I have for doing this customization, but can answer any more follow up questions you have.
Thanks

MemberOk lets check the plugins first to make sure they are active.
I know this is pretty simple, but trying to verify it before trying the harder troubleshooting.
Please go to your sites admin, then to Plugins Page and verify that these two are active:
Easy Digital Downloads
The Events Calendar: EDD TicketsLet me know if those are active.
If they are not please active them.
If active, please try deactivating them and then reactivating and check if that changes anything.
Event Settings
Please check the events settings and see if the EDD Tickets License field is showing on this page:Events > Settings > License Tab
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can try to help out some, but for the most part integrating two plugins from two different vendors is beyond the support we can provide on the forum.
Having said that here are some information that might help:
When the Events Calendar updated from 2.x to 3.x there was a significant change to the code base last year. That maybe the cause of the issue. The post type should still be tribe_events though.
I did find some threads that might provide some information, but looks like there is an on going issue:
“Posts 2 Posts Connections & Event End Time”
“Posts 2 Posts Connections”
Fixing Posts 2 Posts and The Events Calendar plugin compatibility
http://tutorialshares.com/fixing-posts-2-posts-events-calendar-plugin-compatibility/
Could this be related at all to this thread where the post id is being set as something other than the actual post id?
This is in reference to Recurring Events so I do not think so, but it could be possible. The Event is saved with the actual post id, it is the recurring events that created the issue. If I read that right.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions and I can try to help out.
Thanks

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having with EDD Tickets. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
So when you go to Events > Add New on the Event Edit Page there is no Ticket Meta Box for you?
Can you check if on the Screen Options (on the top right of the Edit Page) that Tickets is checked on the Show on screen Options.
Let me know about those two.
Also, have you reviewed our New User Primer for EDD Tickets and see if everything is setup correctly:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/edd-tickets-new-user-primer/
Let me know and we can go from there.
Thanks

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having, I can help troubleshoot this with you.
I took look at the posts you provided and your site and see the issue. I do not think it is browser related.
So lets start with this:
Can you try creating an Event in Late December and see if that changes anything. (a low chance, but worth exploring)
If that does not help can you please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/testing-for-conflicts/
Let me know if that helps find a conflict and we can go from there.
Thanks

MemberOk thanks for reply and looking around for my information.
Yes out ticketing system is simple right now and we are working on expanding that feature. We do have long term plans to add a more robust booking system, but there is not timeline for that right now.
Thanks again for your interest.
