ParticipantHi, joshua64. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve come up against this issue while trying to upgrade.
One thing I can suggest is trying to update by manually by downloading the plugin files from https://theeventscalendar.com/downloads/. Then, you’ll want to rename your existing plugin folder(s) so that you can install the plugin without running into errors overwriting them.
Hopefully, wp-engine support will come back with something for you, but feel free to give the manual upgrade it goes. Please let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHi, kizzinkwocha. I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into this plugin conflict.
Unfortunately, I haven’t heard of this issue before. Have you tried both plugins with a WP default theme like Twenty Twelve? Also, which plugin do you use to accept new articles?
Kelly
ParticipantHi, dmuuc. That absolutely shouldn’t be happening. Would you mind confirming that you have updated both the free and PRO versions of TEC?

ParticipantThanks for letting us know, Sal!
Since it sounds like you’re set for now, I’m going to close this thread. Please start a new topic if anything else comes up.

ParticipantHi, Ray. I’m sorry to hear that 3.1 didn’t resolve your issue.
Would you mind confirming what happens when changing themes to one of the WP defaults like Twenty Twelve? To me this sounds like it may be a conflict either with your theme or another plugin.
Thanks!

ParticipantAlso, if you’d like to suggest this as a feature for a future release, we’d be grateful if you’d post it on our User Voice page at tribe.uservoice.com.

ParticipantHi, danieldekay. This definitely sounds like a worthwhile customization.
I regret to say that there isn’t really a perfect solution using the built-in interface. I could see working around it by either putting that info into an Additional Field drop-down in the Event listing or including the info in the Venue description. Neither of those solutions really give you what you want though.
Beyond that, I’m afraid you’re looking at finding someone to help you through developing a custom solution for your site. That’s, unfortunately, beyond the scope of what we can help you with in this forum. If you like, we’re happy to share a list of freelancers whom we can vouch for, who would be able to evaluate what you’d be looking at to implement something like this.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance!

ParticipantHi, Mallen. I’m sorry if I upset you. That surely wasn’t my intention.
If you’re having trouble upgrading automatically, would you mind trying to download the latest version from your accounts download page here: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
That should give you access to the .zip file, which you can then upload to your site. Make sure you rename the old plugin folder first so that you don’t have an issue with it needing to be overwritten.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi, Tyler. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to talk to you about The Events Calendar.
We are currently working with EDD on a future integration, but unfortunately, it’s not something that will be available in the immediate future.
As far as whether The Events Calendar PRO would be a good fit for you, it sounds like your assessment is spot on. The PRO add-on basically adds additional features to the free version, so if the core parts of the free version aren’t fitting your needs, it’s unlikely that the PRO version will fix that.
Ultimately, I think you may want something a bit more robust and activity focused rather than creating separate events.
I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you. Good luck finding a solution that better fits your workflow.

ParticipantActually, it occurs to me that you’re looking for the map for the Events Calendar PRO. It’s found here: http://danceplanetdaily.com/events/map/ If you link to that page you’ll get both the map and the listings.
Hope that helps!
Kelly
ParticipantHi, jaywhack. I’m glad to hear you got the upgrade sorted out. Nice work.
As far as the map view goes, when I click on the “Festivals Map” link in your menu bar, I arrive at this page: http://danceplanetdaily.com/map/ That appears to have all of the events on it. Is there something else you’re looking for?

ParticipantHi, tommyacquario. This definitely sounds like a frustrating situation.
Have you confirmed that the credit card purchase is in fact completing correctly? WooCommerce Tickets integrates The Events Calendar with WooCommerce, so we aren’t really the experts on that side of things. If the credit card order is not being completed, that’s probably something that would be to let the Ninjas at WooThemes troubleshoot for you.
Let us know what we can do to be of assistance. Thanks!

ParticipantHello, again. Our devs have gotten back to us with a code snippet that should do the trick: http://pastebin.com/nx5j5091
It needs to go in your theme’s functions.php file. If you have any questions about how to do that, please follow the links on this page: https://tri.be/fix-for-static-front-page-being-overridden-when-including-events-in-main-blog-loop/
Please let us know how that works for you!

ParticipantHi, Thomas. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that we’re equipped to help you with. Please contact your other plugins’ developers for support with their plugins.
Best of luck with your migration. Please let us know if anything comes up with regard to The Events Calendar and your tickets!
