I updated my event calendar and community events and now my home page only shows a single event. I deactivated all of my plugins but that didn’t help. I have reactivated my plugins but deactivated my calendar and community calendar. I really would like to get them up and running again. My website is http://www.yorkshiretots.com Thank you!
October 1, 2013 at 8:56 am #68557CaseyParticipantThanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having this issue! I’m going to move this thread over to our PRO forum and one of our experts can help you over there. Please stand by. Thanks!
October 1, 2013 at 11:58 am #68615rm2projectParticipantsame thing here any help would be appreciated. I had to turn off the plugin to stop events from coming through the homepage.
October 1, 2013 at 12:01 pm #68619Erin RushParticipantMy site is really all about the event calendar so I am really keen to get it back up.. is it possible to just go back to the older version of the calendar? Thanks!
October 1, 2013 at 6:25 pm #68705KellyParticipantHi, yorkshiretots. I’m very sorry that you’re experiencing this bug.
Other users have reported success by un-checking “Include events in main blog loop”:
Would you mind trying that and letting us know how it goes?
Thanks!
October 1, 2013 at 6:44 pm #68707SARAH WITIUKParticipantHi KELLY
Since my website http://www.queensevents.ca doesn’t have any blog posts, I must have “include events in main blog loop”It is currently ignoring my recently-added events and only posting ones I updated back in July…
October 1, 2013 at 11:22 pm #68723Erin RushParticipantIt fixed the problem. Thanks so much!
October 2, 2013 at 8:32 am #68780KellyParticipantThat’s great news, yorkshiretots! Thank you for confirming.
queensevents, I’m truly sorry that you’re in such a pickle. This was missed in our testing, and we’re working diligently to get it patched.
Obviously, this is only an interim workaround, not a true fix. Please rest assured that this is a top priority for us. We will be rolling out a resolution as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience in the interim.
October 2, 2013 at 11:09 am #68832KellyParticipantHello, again. Our devs have gotten back to us with a code snippet that should do the trick: http://pastebin.com/nx5j5091
It should go in your theme’s functions.php file. If you have any questions about how to do that, please follow the links on this page: https://tri.be/fix-for-static-front-page-being-overridden-when-including-events-in-main-blog-loop/
Please let us know how that works for you!
October 3, 2013 at 9:18 pm #69161KellyParticipantThis just in! There was an issue with the previous version of the snippet that caused an additional issue. Oops! 🙂
Please see the snippet page for the correct snippet to use in your functions.php: https://theeventscalendar.com/fix-for-static-front-page-being-overridden-when-including-events-in-main-blog-loop/
Do let us know if that gets you back in business!

November 5, 2013 at 12:54 pm #74813KellyParticipantHi, folks. This is just a quick shout to let you know that we will be rolling out a fix for this issue in our next maintenance release, due out later this week.
Please remember to remove the snippet from your site. If for some reason, you’re still experiencing the issue, please let us know in a new forum thread.
Thanks so much for your patience!
