    Hi,

I bought the Facebook events plugin (3.01) a couple days before the Facebook V3.1 update. I bought the Events PRO 3.1 version today, and I also downloaded the Facebook 3.1 update. When I tried to install the new Facebook version I get the error:
    “Destination folder already exists”.

So, I was going to deactivate and delete the 3.0.1 version, but it told me that I was about to delete all my data.

So, for now, I’m consistently getting the error:
“The following plugins are out of date: The Events Calendar: Facebook Events 3.0.1. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Want to pair an older version?”

Is there a way to update to Facebook v3.1 without losing all my events/data that I’ve already imported?

    Thanks.

Problem solved. I went on ahead and deleted FB 3.0 and updated WordPress with the new FB 3.1 and it worked. My events weren’t deleted.

    Another question though…
On the calendar ‘Map’ view…is it possible to have all the events appear on the map in the initial view, and not just a partial listing? It seems that the only events available on the map are those listed on the web page at that particular time.

    Thanks!

Hi, jaywhack. I’m glad to hear you got the upgrade sorted out. Nice work.

As far as the map view goes, when I click on the “Festivals Map” link in your menu bar, I arrive at this page: http://danceplanetdaily.com/map/ That appears to have all of the events on it. Is there something else you’re looking for?

Actually, it occurs to me that you’re looking for the map for the Events Calendar PRO. It’s found here: http://danceplanetdaily.com/events/map/ If you link to that page you’ll get both the map and the listings.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi there Kelly,

    Thanks for the reply.

I’ve made a few updates to my site since my last message. The ‘danceplanetdaiy.com/map’ link was to my old events page. These were events created with my sites default event creator.

The new link is the one you’ve listed and is indeed the one I’m using now…but the map only contains 25 events. I’ve created 122 total using The Events Calendar. Is it possible to get all 122 of those events on the map at once? I was able to include all my old events (250+) using the google map supplied by my site. I don’t want to use it anymore as it doesn’t have the same search and functionality that The Events Calendar supplies.

    Thanks.

Hi, jaywhack. There isn’t a limit to the number of events displayed on the map. You can check out this site for an example: http://greatmaineoutdoorweekend.org/events/map/?action=tribe_geosearch&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=map&tribe-bar-date=2013-09-28

That said, the map view displays points on the map for the events appearing in the list below. I would guess that to display all the events on the map, you would need to run a query that returns all the events.

Please let me know if that works for you!

Hmm. Ok. That could be a fairly lengthy list of events to load if the events total gets really high.
    Thanks for the info!

Exactly. That’s why we have it setup the way it is. Good luck as you pursue it!

Are there any other questions we can help you with?
