MemberThat’s definitely a possibility. What I’d recommend is using the export and import tools made available by WordPress (you can specify which post types – such as events/venues/organizers – you wish to export) and see if that gets you toward a solution in this instance.
Good luck – I hope it goes well ๐

MemberGoing to close this for the time being – but as before we’ll do our best to post updates as and when we can – thanks!
Barry
MemberI’m sorry we missed your post – unfortunately this wasn’t flagged up as being in need of a reply (and to avoid this, we strongly recommend creating a new thread of your own regardless of whether or not it seems like the same problem as originally posted).
If you do still need help, please go right ahead and create a new thread: @gogroup can you confirm if you still need help/follow up on my last set of questions?
Thanks!

MemberHi makow: sorry we missed your post – what I’d recommend is posting a new thread of your own if you still need help with this (that will also ensure it is flagged up for someone to respond to).
@centromahamudra: since this thread’s not seen much activity for the last couple of weeks so I’ll go ahead and close it. Of course if you still need help with this or any other issue please don’t hesitate to create a new thread (or threads) and one of the team will be only too happy to help. Thanks!Barry

MemberLars:
Why on earth do you close up our threads before they are solved and when you obviously havenโt understood the problem?
If we feel we’ve progressed a thread as much as we feel we can, then we will close the thread – we just don’t have unlimited resources to help people through customizations and I’d like to think we’ve made that clear in numerous threads.
Iโm not talking about WP SEO โ Iโm talking about Yoast SEO which doesnโt work with your plugin
I think we are talking about the same thing – WordPress SEO by Yoast. Sorry for any confusion, there, but it is commonly abbreviated to WP SEO and in fairness neither of us were using the long form of the plugin name. If that’s not in fact the same plugin you are referring to and you want to avoid confusion in future threads then I’d recommend explicitly pointing to the relevant URL.
This is a bug in your snippet or itโs just not compatible with 3.5
You need to understand first of all that often we provide snippets to show the general form of a solution: we’re not building bespoke solutions for you, here, we’re just trying to point you in the right direction. As in the other thread, though, I found the snippet worked as expected.
With all that said, I am glad you found a way to make it work for you in your environment. I’ll close with a few final points:
- There was no need to make any of your replies private – please refrain from doing so unless you are sharing confidential information
- This thread refers to a customization and the level of support we offer here doesn’t extend to building customizations for you – we’re happy to point you in the right direction, but repeatedly posting for assistance when we’ve already made that clear we can’t assist further with a particular issue is not a helpful course of action
Thanks again – and I’ll now close this thread.

MemberHi!
Please do feel free to post in our PRO forum now you have a license ๐ If you view our test site, though, you can see an example at the bottom of the calendar of the iCal button: http://wpshindig.com/events/
(If we can help with anything else here, please do create a new thread in the PRO forum.)
Thanks!

MemberThat definitely looks like a bug, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
We’ll certainly get a fix on the works (you’re pretty much nailing the fix/reasoning for at least the first half of this, with regards to needing to use the parent post ID) and will strive to update this thread as soon as we’ve got something substantive to report.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime ๐

MemberGreat question.
Yes, it’s possible – but we’d need to leave the implementation to you. In rough outline though I think the sort of approach I might take here is:
- If an event is imported, the processes that handle the import are triggered during the admin_init action – you could use this same hook to get some code in place before our own import routine starts
- When the event is created it uses some of our own code which basically acts as a wrapper around wp_insert_post() … because it’s just a thin wrapper there is nothing to prevent you from further leveraging WordPress’s own hooks like save_post (or something more specific even, such as save_post_tribe_events) to modify the newly created post
- Both WordPress and PHP itself have various capabilities you could leverage to strip out unwanted formatting
I hope that gives you a possible “angle of attack” here – though there are probably a number of different ways you could tackle this, too – and good luck ๐

MemberWe don’t really exercise any control over the cart page, to the best of my knowledge, so I think this would really be a question to take over to the fine team at WooThemes – unless I’m misunderstanding?
Barry
MemberI’m glad life is good ๐
When you say that the attendee lists are “fixed”, do you mean you have extended them to accommodate extra information per attendee entry?

MemberHi Richard,
Sorry you’re hitting difficulties.
I brought the issue up to Mijireh but they punted me back to you. Sounds like a cacheing problem from either Events Calendar Pro or WooCommerce Tickets.
Any suggestions?OK, well it’s possible it’s on our side but I can’t really picture anything that would cause this. The whole concept is that we don’t interfere with the cart/checkout procedures at all – for each ticketing plugin that is delegated to the underlying ecommerce engine (WooCommerce in this instance).
If you create a regular product – ie, nothing to do with event tickets – at a similar pricepoint, do you find the same thing doesn’t happen? Or is it also an issue in those circumstances?
2) I checked my Google Webmaster Tools today and found that there were a number of 404s created by Events Calendar Pro or WooCommerce Tickets. Example:
http://www.functiontofitness.com/events/2013-03-14/
What is going on?So this is a quite separate matter and ideally we’d ask you break things out so that there is one topic per thread.
In summary, though, we are actively looking at ways to reduce 404s. However, do note that 404 information is often provided for diagnostic reasons (in case there is some aspect of the site that is broken, for instance) and it doesn’t necessarily mean there is a problem as such – the 404 HTTP status code is perfectly valid in many cases.
If you do want to explore this one further, please do create a new thread and one of the team will be happy to help – and we can concentrate on the WooCommerce Tickets issue here.
Thanks!

MemberI’m sorry you’re having difficulties.
The first thing here is to double check you have the latest version of each of our plugins. After that, if you still can’t enter the license, it would be worth exploring if another plugin/theme is conflicting by deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme like Twenty Thirteen – then seeing if everything works as expected.
Unless you alreaedy know Divi is conflicting (is that why you mentioned it)?
Let us know – we’d love to help!
