MemberHi!
So it seems like no events are listed there, even with Uber Menu deactivated – is that correct and might it be because you have applied filters to the widget?
What happens if Uber Menu is active alongside The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO – but nothing else and only a default theme is in use – can you replicate the same problem with the widget then?

MemberHi Melody,
Thanks for facilitating that and feel free to restore it.
Did this “just happen” one day – did any events whether an update of our own plugins or settings changes in relation to some other component take place before it occurred, as far as you can remember?
Would it be possible for you to create and zip up a copy of the database for us to inspect? We’d love to figure out just what’s gone wrong here if we can.
If you’re happy to do that, please upload the .zip file to your WP site or to a service like Dropbox – and share the URL here by private reply.
Thanks!

MemberHi Judith,
When you reply you should be able to check a box marked notify me of follow-up replies via email — this should allow you to be automatically notified when a support topic like this one is updated. If you already tried that but don’t see the emails, please be sure to check your spam/junk folders!
I don’t think there’s too much more we can offer on this particular issue in the short term (a bug report has been submitted and should be addressed in due course) and I notice you marked the topic as “resolved” so I’m going to go ahead and close it – but of course please simply create new topics as needed if anything else crops up ๐
Thanks again!

MemberCan you describe the pattern for this event – does it recur monthly (and what were the start/end dates)? Since the site is under construction, would it be possible to restore it to a “default state” (ie, just a default theme and no plugins but our own) so I can take a look at this issue first hand?
(We cannot accept WordPress credentials, however, so if it was possible to have some means of viewing the site other than being given a WP login – such as some sort of URL query like ?access=1 that we can apply, that would be preferred – and, of course, the ideal would be for even the plugin implementing the under-construction screen to also be deactivated.)

MemberHi Melody,
I’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties.
I switched to the Twenty Thirteen theme and deactivated all other plugins and still had the problem.
Could I ask you to repeat this then, while everything else is still deactivated, create a fresh recurring event: does this new event suffer from the same problem?
I tinkered with settings and under general settings, I โunclickedโ the Recurring event instances. Show only the first instance of each recurring event (only affects list-style views).
This could be worth a try, also, but I suspect you (Steve) are describing a separate issue – with that in mind, please do feel free to follow this topic but our efforts will be concentrated on helping Melody, here, though if you need specific help for your own site please do create a new topic and one of the team will be happy to help ๐
July 14, 2015 at 7:22 am in reply to: Eventbrite plugin: Import ANY event? Or just ones you create? #986262Barry
MemberHi @efromdc,
Thanks for your interest in Eventbrite Tickets ๐
I own v 3.9.3 Events Calendar Pro. Is 3.10 of Eventbrite plugin compatible?
I’m afraid not.
Generally the plugins must be kept in sync in terms of the major and minor version numbers matching up so, for example, you can typically use a combination like The Events Calendar 3.10.1 and Events Calendar PRO 3.10 – but could not mix these with Eventbrite Tickets 3.9.
Or can I use version 3.9.3 of Eventbrite plugin (and can you make the version thats compatible w/ ECP 3.9.3 available?
Normally we’d happily facilitate this sort of thing for any of our current license key holders and would consider your request.
However, due to the range of changes and important fixes that have taken place since that release I cannot guarantee we’d do so in this case – realistically, it’s also unlikely we could offer too much support if you chose to remain on an older version of the plugin.
Can the eventbrite importer import ANY eventbrite event? Or JUST the one(s) you create yourself?
It can import most Eventbrite events – so long as they are publicly visible and the creator has not imposed any restrictions.
As you might expect, only those imported events created on your account can subsequently be updated by you via WordPress.
Can you import multiple event ids at the same time? As in put multple event brite idโs separated by comma? Or one import at a timeโฆ?
Currently just one at a time – but we’re always happy to accept requests for new features and improvements ๐
I hope that answers your questions but let me know if I can help with anything else.

MemberHi @cliffy,
I’m sorry we were unable to dig in further on this occasion – but as you suggest I’ll close this topic and if you have a moment to revisit in the future please just create a new topic (referencing this one if you like) and one of the team will only be too happy to help further.
Re Enfold, a lot of what people report here in the forums actually amount to deliberate customizations that ship with that theme, so yes – generally going back to the theme author if you need to modify their changes is the best way to go ๐
Thanks again and if you need further help just let us know!
Barry
MemberHi Donna,
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been unable to resolve this. I’m not sure from your response if you completed the steps by switching to a default theme or not – but if you do decide to give it another shot that could be worthwhile.
Can I get a refund for my purchase please?
We’re generally happy to consider refund requests made within 30 days of purchase – please email us at support [at] theeventscalendar [dot] com and one of the team will be only too happy to help (please include the order receipt if possible) ๐
Can you, or have you tested your plugin with the Avada Theme by Themeforest? It is the most popular WordPress theme that I have been able to find, and itโs the main theme Iโm using so you might want to make sure your plugins work with it.
We strive for compatibility with as many themes as possible and work hard to ensure we follow WordPress best practices throughout our codebase.
I’m not sure that we tested specifically with Avada this time round and certainly if you found this problem was indeed related directly to Avada that would be great to know.
Thanks and I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you.
Barry
MemberAwesome, in that case I’ll close this topic – glad it’s all sorted ๐
Barry
MemberThanks, Donna.
When I click on the next monthโs view and then click back to the current month, the duplicates go away for current and future days, but the ghosted days still show duplicates.
This is a useful piece of information as it suggests something may be interfering in the main query.
Lots of plugins and themes have the ability to modify the main query in order to weave their particular magic – so it’s not uncommon in itself – but, done badly or if there is a bug/oversight, it unfortunately has the potential to cause all sorts of unusual problems.
The reason I think this is happening is because when you navigate forwards/backwards the problem appears to largely go away: under the hood, when navigating by ajax as you are doing here, the main query is not actually labeled as such – meaning the conflicting plugin/your theme may be deciding not to interfere.
Given it looks like a conflict, can I ask you to run through our standard troubleshooting steps and let me know the result?
The key to this is to deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme – then see if the same problem still takes place.
I realize you may be reluctant to perform this process on a live site, but perhaps you have a test site or could create one (this can be as simple as installing WordPress in a subdirectory, something that many hosting environments make a really fast and easy process).
Let me know how you get on or if you have any further questions!

MemberHi Lance,
Just for the avoidance of any doubt, were you able to complete our complete troubleshooting steps and did you discover that this problem was triggered by a plugin/your theme if so, or else can you run through that process now?
If that does not reveal anything and you are happy to do so, can you share a backup of your database? Though you cannot upload files here directly you could upload a zipped database dump to your own WordPress site or to a service like Dropbox and share the link by private reply.
Let me know!
Barry
MemberExcellent ๐
That being the case I will go ahead and close this topic, but of course if anything else crops up please simply create a new topic and one of the team will be only too happy to help.
Thanks!

MemberMy pleasure!

MemberGreat – and please just update this topic when you here back from the theme vendor, we can take things from there.
