MemberHi Chris,
Thanks for contacting us!
This sounds rather like it might be a custom development task and so we may not be able to offer too much in-depth assistance for this one, but can you clarify exactly what you’re aiming for here?
Do you want to expose these private events to a select audience – how is that audience defined if so (any user who is logged in?) … what are you picturing exactly in terms of blocking out time?
July 15, 2015 at 3:19 pm in reply to: adding attendies to list who did not buy tickets online With an Attendee Name #986803Barry
MemberHi Chris,
Creating new orders manually (via WooCommerce’s order editor screen) is the best way to create new tickets/attendee entries.
Please note however that, at this time, each entry in the attendee is associated with the purchaser’s name. Out of the box, you cannot link individual tickets with anyone else’s name.
Does that help/clarify things?

MemberHi Thomas,
I’m sorry to hear you have hit up against some problems.
Eingefügt: 311
Aktualisiert: 16
Übersprungen: 0So it sounds like 311 new events were created and 16 existing ones were updated – 327 events in total. I can’t view your site without credentials as its protected by HTTP authentication, but I’d love to take a look at your main events page and also perhaps see a copy of your CSV data.
Note that while you cannot upload files directly to the forum at this time, if you upload them to your WordPress site or a service like Dropbox you can then link to the download URL via a private reply.
Can you facilitate that?

MemberHi Lucy,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against difficulties.
Please bear in mind that we try hard to stick to one issue per support topic – let’s deal with the first issue with your license key in here and we can deal with the second issue in another topic (if it isn’t coincidentally solved while checking on this problem).
A large set of changes were made between 3.9.3 and 3.10 – I wonder in this case if we could try manually updating Events Calendar PRO.
The basic idea would be to grab a fresh copy of our latest release from the downloads page, then simply overwrite your existing copy of Events Calendar PRO.
There are a few ways to tackle this, but probably the easiest is to delete the existing copy of Events Calendar PRO (through the plugin admin screen) then upload the zip you just downloaded. Alternatively, if you’re comfortable with using an FTP client, you could unzip it locally then overwrite the existing copy.
You shouldn’t lose any event data (it’s stored in the database, not in the file system) but making a backup before completing this step is a wise precaution.
Can we give that a go?

MemberHi Marianna,
Great question!
The [tribe_events_list] shortcode is really just another way of using the advanced events list widget – so customizing it is exactly the same as customizing the widget itself.
Please read through our Themer’s Guide in the first place, particularly with regards to the information on making template overrides, but the basic idea would be to copy:
events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php
Placing your copy within your theme:
themes/YOUR_THEME/tribe-events/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php
From there you can safely modify it and customize away – I hope that helps!

MemberHi @websource,
Thanks for getting in touch!
While custom development generally isn’t something we can go to deep with, I’d be happy to summarize how things are structured:
- Each (EDD) ticket lives in the post table and is of the tribe_eddticket type
- Each of these has a piece of postmeta data associated with it – _tribe_eddticket_event – linking it to a specific event
- Similarly, it is linked to an EDD order via _tribe_eddticket_order
By following these connections you should be able to obtain order and ticket (attendee) data for every event 🙂

MemberHi Melody – thanks!
I can actually replicate just fine with the first set of data but I appreciate you taking the time to update things – please give me just a little longer to look at this and determine what might be going wrong 🙂

MemberI’m afraid our policy is not to accept login credentials. Here’s a couple of other things we might try:
- Can you create a fresh WordPress installation – whether locally or in a subdirectory in the same hosting environment – install only The Events Calendar and nothing else to begin with, create some test data and replicate there?
- If you have a hosting account with a different provider, or if you are familiar with the process of running test sites locally (if not, no problem – I just wanted to float the idea) can you try the same there, in case some peculiarity of your hosting environment is triggering this?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThanks for sharing.
Edit: do you have some sort of a “secret” features which resets the option_value if the value is not save by the form?
None I am aware of. If you reset the option value back to what it was when it was first imported, but leave the rest of the database untouched, do you experience the same issue?
Are you also able to replicate under default conditions (ie, no other plugins but ours and only a default, unmodified theme running)?
Barry
MemberHi again @wfsec28,
A colleague looked at your description of the problem with fresh eyes but was also unable to replicate.
Sadly, though I’d love to help further, there isn’t going to be much else we can do at this time unless we begin to receive further reports from other users of the same issue and identify the pattern.
That said, I’ll leave this topic open a little longer in case we (or you!) can think of anything else.
July 14, 2015 at 8:24 pm in reply to: Month view: previous / next navigation loses category filter #986491Barry
MemberHi @spotstudio,
There does seem to be a valid bug here: if I view a specific category in month view the initial result set is correctly limited to events from that category.
If I page forward a month then return to the original month, however, you are correct and the category filtering seems to “drop”. I’ve logged a bug report for that and we’ll progress it as quickly as we can: what worries me is that I don’t see exactly the same problem on your site.
In my case, the result set widens and I see all events – not just those in the appointed category – but when I replicate on your site I see less/no events. Might that be the result of the customization you are referring to?
Barry
MemberI’m not sure what to suggest, Vincent. I can’t replicate this issue and have seen no other comparable reports: is there any further information you can provide? Which version(s) (of The Events Calendar and EDD Tickets) were you running on each site?
July 14, 2015 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Eventbrite plugin: Import ANY event? Or just ones you create? #986479Barry
MemberNo problem – that’s probably a wise decision in this case (though 3.9.3 onwards did introduce changes to work with the new API, there was a need for further updates and so I couldn’t recommend anything earlier than 3.10.1).
In any case, I’ll go ahead and close this topic and if we can help with any other questions please just create a new one.
Thanks again for your interest!
Barry
MemberWell, it’s definitely possible I’m missing something here.
For most of the team we’re now at the end of the working day so please bear with us a little longer – and I’ll see if another team member has any further success in replicating this tomorrow.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime 🙂
July 14, 2015 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Eventbrite plugin: Import ANY event? Or just ones you create? #986462Barry
MemberHi @efromdc,
We’d be reluctant to do so in this case and actually a copy of an Eventbrite Tickets 3.9.x release – while compatible with a matching build of Events Calendar PRO – most likely will be non-functional due to the scale of recent changes in the Eventbrite API.
If you wish to use this plugin, I’d strongly recommend obtaining the most recent version and updating your other event-related plugins to match.
