KeymasterI already reached out internally to get some help on this. I’ll keep you posted on what we find.
And some other good news, we are already working on a new version of the Eventbrite plugin. Currently I don’t have a release date yet, but hopefully we don’t need to wait too long for it.

KeymasterYes, this is the same for all imports.
Additionally, if an event has a category in the source calendar (Outlook or Google) that category will be imported and assigned as well.

KeymasterHello Mary,
Thanks for checking that.
There are 2 things we can still look at.
Do you have any template overrides in place? To find this out, go to your theme folder and check if a folder called ‘tribe-events’ exists there. Like this:
wp-content/themes/[your-theme]/tribe-events
To disable template overrides you just need to rename the ‘tribe-events’ folder to something else.
Check what is the result if you disable that.
The second thing: this is the javascript error I’m getting:
Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://www.myareayoga.com/wp-content/plugins/adrotate/library/jquery.adrotate.clicktracker.js”. events:2635
Try to look up where that javascript file is being loaded and disable it. Check if that makes the tooltips appear on the month view.
Cheers,
AndrasPS: I found a little glitch. The ‘View Events’ in the menu points to probably your staging site. (which is then redirected). Here’s a screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cJaXE2dUaKV

Keymaster🙂
I also hope we can resolve this in June. I will keep you posted. If you would like an update in 2-3 weeks then ping me here and I can check the status.

KeymasterHi Cyrille,
I unmarked the ‘answer’, no worries.
Hmmm… I will try to get an extra pair of eyes to take a look at this, maybe we get some ideas.
In the meantime you could try to reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to check on their side what could be happening.

KeymasterHi Andrew,
If it is a scheduled import, then there is no option to add a category to only some events of the import. A category can be added to all events that are being imported, or to none.
It might be possible to achieve what you want with custom coding, but that is beyond the scope of support we can provide here in the helpdesk.
If you are doing a one time import, then you can select which events you want to import and assign a category to those.
Let me know if this helps and if you have any further questions.

KeymasterHi Emily,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Sorry to hear about this issue with Eventbrite. I can try to help you with this.
I just ran a test and when I added an image in WP, then Eventbrite switched to the old design.
However, when I set ‘Never sync images’ (screenshot) then after any update the Eventbrite design stayed new.
Not sure why that is happening when you sync images, highly likely that is handled by Eventbrite. Let me check something on this and I’ll get back to you.

KeymasterHey Owen,
Thanks for reaching out! Let me answer your questions:
1) If you are using WooCommerce then you will need The Events Calendar, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.
2) Without Community Events the organizers will see all events and will be able to change any of them. If you want them to be able to only have access to their events, then Community Events is the way to go.
If you also want them to be able to manage tickets for their events, then you will also need Community Tickets.
If you’d like all that, then the Community Manager Bundle is for you. 😉
Note however, that while taking a cut from the ticket prices should still be possible through Adaptive (split) payments by PayPal, that will only work if you already have an account for that at PayPal from the past. The service has been discontinued by PayPal and no new accounts can be created unfortunately.
3) This is totally up to you how you set it up and what you set up. Though this will not be possible with one ticket only, you would need to set up separate tickets for the separate lengths.
Alternatively there might be a WooCommerce add-on that helps you deal with this easier.
4) That functionality doesn’t exist in our plugins. You would need to rely on the reports WooCommerce can generate for you.
Report by organizer will likely not be possible out of the box. WooCommerce has a built-in ‘Sales by Category’ report which you could use, but you will need to make sure that the ticket products are assigned to a category.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions.

KeymasterHi Rachel,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m really sorry to hear about this major duplication issue. I would be happy to help you sort this out.
Can you point me to an event that is like this?
What you can do here to deal with it faster is:
- try our free Advanced Post Manager plugin which will give you better filtering options for your events on the back-end
- Select all events that are duplicated and delete them / put them on the ignored list
- go to the ignored list and select the ones (one from every event) that you want to unignore
(Note, imported events don’t go to the trash, they go on the ignored list.)
Something else:
I have checked this one: http://thelakecountrymom.com/lcevent/meijer-free-first-thursday-8/2017-12-07/
On that the issue is that it is set up like this:
- It is a multi-day event starting on December 7, 2017 and goes till September 6, 2018
- This multi-day event is repeating once every month
- As a result you will have a multi-day (about 9 month long) event repeating monthly.
I’m not sure how this is supposed to look like. My hunch is it’s a one day thing once per month. So to fix this just edit the event and set the end date to the same day as the start date. For example December 7. And then the recurrence rules will take care of creating the rest, one event every month.
Let me know if this helps.

KeymasterHi Robert,
Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you bumped into an issue with PayPal IPN.
So far I haven’t seen any other reports on this issue.
Make sure that you followed the instructions in this guide when you set up your PayPal IPN:
Also pay attention to the ‘http’ / ‘https’ part of the url, make sure it goes to the right one.
Let me know if this helps.
Cheers,

KeymasterHi,
We don’t have any code snippet readily available for that. But I believe that should be doable with a template override and a bit of tinkering.
You will need to create a template override for this file:
wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php
The event id is accessible via:
$ticket['event_id']and from that you should be able to get the taxonomies for the event.
Afterwards it’s a matter of “if-else” to do whatever you like.
I also wanted to add the link to the event on the ticket that the attendee receives in an email.
The event title is present in the email and that can be clicked.
If you only need the url, then you can get it with this:
<?php echo esc_url( $event_link ); ?>Hope this helps.
Cheers,

KeymasterHallo Michael, wie geht’s.
I’m sorry about this issue. This is a bug that somehow managed to crawl back in one of the latest releases, possibly the last one in mid April.
We are aware of this and it is with the developers already. Currently it is scheduled to be fixed in June. I hope it is going to happen, but it can still change.
Until then the workaround would be to roll back to the previous version of The Events Calendar (4.6.13) and probably PRO (4.4.24.2) as well.
If you choose to roll back I would be happy to hear if that version works.
I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released.
If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and we’ll help you out.
Thanks and cheers,
Andras -
