    Hi,

I’m looking to setup a site for events that the public can book in and pay for. I’m just a little unclear on which plugins I will need.

    1. I’ll be integrating with Woocommerce. Does the standard Events Calendar allow bookings and payments or do I need the Event Tickets plugin as well?

    2. The site will be a hub for various venues to post their own events. I assume we can give each organiser a login to manage the events details and pricing etc? When they login will they only have access to add/edit their own listings or would they be able to see the listings of other organisers too? I’d like to be able to limit the visibility to just their own events if possible? I think i may need ‘community events’ or ‘ community tickets’ for this?

    3. These events that people will be booking in for are actually athletic programs that go for say 8 weeks. If someone was to join the program 3 weeks late is there a way for them to only pay for the 5 weeks and not the 3 weeks they missed?

    4. is there the ability to get sales reports and visitor stats etc for each of the individual organisers?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hey Owen,

Thanks for reaching out! Let me answer your questions:

    1) If you are using WooCommerce then you will need The Events Calendar, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.

    2) Without Community Events the organizers will see all events and will be able to change any of them. If you want them to be able to only have access to their events, then Community Events is the way to go.

If you also want them to be able to manage tickets for their events, then you will also need Community Tickets.

If you’d like all that, then the Community Manager Bundle is for you. 😉

Note however, that while taking a cut from the ticket prices should still be possible through Adaptive (split) payments by PayPal, that will only work if you already have an account for that at PayPal from the past. The service has been discontinued by PayPal and no new accounts can be created unfortunately.

    3) This is totally up to you how you set it up and what you set up. Though this will not be possible with one ticket only, you would need to set up separate tickets for the separate lengths.

Alternatively there might be a WooCommerce add-on that helps you deal with this easier.

    4) That functionality doesn’t exist in our plugins. You would need to rely on the reports WooCommerce can generate for you.

Report by organizer will likely not be possible out of the box. WooCommerce has a built-in ‘Sales by Category’ report which you could use, but you will need to make sure that the ticket products are assigned to a category.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras
