    Hello Cas,

Thanks for sharing those screenshots, that is helpful.

You can assign users as an event author who have editor capabilities.

I see you have an event contributor role, to the best of my knowledge that role doesn’t come with our plugins, actually we don’t add any specific user roles.

You can compare the capabilities of editor and event contributor and check what is missing.

WPFront User Role Editor or User Role Editor plugins should help you with that.

Does this help get you started?

    Hi Andrius,

Thanks for using the Events Calendar.

Here on the pre-sales forum, I’m afraid we do not provide technical support. I would ask that you take any technical support questions across to our wordpress.org forum – our staff scan it periodically and other community members may also be able to help out.

    The Events Calendar

If you have purchased a plugin from us, please login and post in the premium forums for that plugin and we can help you out there:

    Thanks again!

    Hello miles,

Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry about this issue with the serialization.

If I understand correctly, if you try to open the events for editing associated with those entries, then you get an error and cannot edit it?

Are you able to recreate the issue? Did this happen more times than the above 2 events?

Are those events newly created or old ones edited when this happened? If old, then were the events created with a previous version of the plugin? Which?

Can you share how you set up those events? Can you potentially share a full database dump so we can take a look at those entries in full?

If you can give me any more details about the incident that might be helpful in uncovering the source of the issue.

Thanks and I’m looking froward to solving this with you.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Diane,

Thanks for getting in touch with us! I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue with the trash. Let me try to help you with this.

How many events do you have in your Calendar and how many are in the trash?

Did you try deleting them in small batches, like select 5-10 and do a bulk delete? What happens then?

What happens when you try to empty the trash of the posts or the pages? (Please make a note how many elements you have in the trash.)

It would be also great if you could run a conflict testing to see if any other plugin or the theme is somehow influencing this behavior.

Looking forward to helping you solve this annoying issue.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello again Alan,

Event Aggregator is not a separate plugin, it is part of The Events Calendar. Without a license you can use the basic CSV import feature. To enable full functionality you just need to enter your license key on the licenses page – which I believe you already did.

You are set up and done, you can aggregate away. šŸ™‚

The EA status you can find under Events > Help and scroll to the bottom of the page.

If there are no changes in the events, then the import will still run with success.

A fail can come from a reason of things. It can be a server error on your side, on our side, on the source side (Facebook) or you simply used your quota for the day, and some other exotic cases. Or too many requests at the same time and one of the servers cannot handle that. If you hover over the red exclamation mark, then it might give you some information on it.

I just ran a test with that url and the import ran fine and imported 4 events. All seems good.

I see on your screenshot that the Bavarian Open WCS failed, but then ran with success.

And I see some which didn’t re-run. Did you try to re-run them manually, one at a time? (On the Scheduled imports page hover over the import and click on run.)

Actually not. You are totally allowed to use the plugin on one live and one staging site.

If you don’t enter the license key on the staging you will still have full functionality, you will simply not get automatic updates. Or if you have your staging set up under certain TLDs, then you can even add the license key and get automatic updates.

Here are 2 articles that explain all this in more detail:

What Kind of Support Do You Provide for Paid Plugins?

    Hope this helps. Looking forward.

Uwe, thanks for all this information!

You will not be able to upload 1GB here in the forums šŸ™‚ , can you share it via a cloud service like Dropbox, OneDrive or something? You can post the link here in a private reply.

Are you able to see / replicate the issue on the staging site? I’m sorry, this wasn’t clear from your previous answer.

Please hang in there while we investigate this issue. I will be in touch as soon as I have some news.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras
