    Hello Troy,

    I’m sorry to hear the fix didn’t help.

    Please note that the fix was developed for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly recurrence rules. It did not touch the custom rules and exclusions, though in exclusion handling there was no change.

    I talked with my manager on how we could move further.

    Would you be willing to share with us a full database dump? That would allow us to take a look at the rules you have in full detail to see what can be done.

    I fully understand you don’t want to show something on your website that doesn’t look good. It is recommended to have a staging site where this can cause no issue and where testing and bughunting can be done without affecting the traffic on the live site.

    I’m sorry if you got the perception of our response times of being days long. Based on our support policy we do strive to provide an answer to every post within 24-48 hours on workdays. It is very rare that we go over that. I’m really sorry if this is not inline with your expectations of our premium support.

    The other event that does not have a July 20th occurrence was just edited yesterday. Not as bad as I thought but how do I did the recurring rule that is not working?

    Can you provide me some more details of the issue? Best would be a screenshot of the recurrence rules and of how it shows on the frontend. Basically what is going amiss?

    And using the back and forth buttons are still changing the views incorrectly. Is this going to the default I have on my page because your settings did not work for the default? Has this ever been fixed?

    The back and forward buttons of the browser are navigating your browsing history back and forth. Which works well for some websites. Our calendar utilizes AJAX calls when switching between months, which does not show up in the browser history, that is why you might be experiencing weird behavior.

    If you are switching between the default views (meaning you didn’t change month in the month view, or didn’t navigate to next / previous events in list view), that should work with back and forward buttons.

    If you are browsing through the months in month view, that will not work with the back / forward buttons due to the AJAX call. We are aware of this and we have an internal ticket on file, however at the moment there is no fix developed yet.

    I do hope these answer your questions and if you provide me details about that recurring event issue I’d be more then happy to help you solve that.

    Note that if it is a recurring event that had the issues due to the update, then it might be easier / faster just to simply delete and recreate it, then trying to fix it.

    Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry to hear you are having issues after the update. That’s not good.

    Let me try to help you fix that.

    Unfortunately on your screenshot it is difficult to see any issue, eventhough they might be there. I tried to check your live site as well to check for some details but the month view seems disabled so I wasn’t lucky there.

    Could you please share some more details so I can see where the issue is?

    • Please share a current system information.
    • If possible, enable the month view so I can see the issue live.
    • ย All events or only some are messed up? What kind of events are messed up? Single, recurring or both?
    • Please choose 1 or 2 specific events and let me know:
      • how were / are they set up?
      • what do you see?
      • what do you expect to see?
    • If it’s not all events, when were the messed up events created? Sometime in the past (2-3 months ago)?

     

    Let me give you some background why I have all these questions:

    In version 4.4 we have re-worked how recurring events are handled in the backend. This unfortunately messed up some recurring event rules for some people when updating to 4.4.

    We have released a fix for this earlier this week. Some events that were messed up with the 4.4 update, if they got corrected by the admin manually, they might get messed up again. We are not 100% sure this is the case, it is a theory so far and there are no other reports of this yet.

    Please let me know the answers to the above questions and I’ll try to help you fix this as fast as I can.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I believe that would be absolutely possible with Events Calendar PRO using categories for the different departments.

    The main calendar page (usually accessible at domain.com/events, but that can be customized) would show the events of all the departments.

    Separate pages could be set up for each department where the calendar could be included with a shortcode filtering to a specific category (department). Or you can also have them without separate pages simply using a url like this: domain.com/events/category/{department-name}

    I believe with a bit of custom code you could even change the “category” slug to “department” if needed.

    And, though not developed, maintained or supported by us, The Events Calendar Category Colors plugin would be a nice addition, so you can differentiate the different department events on the main calendar.

    Hello Ross,

    Thanks for getting in touch and I’m truly sorry for this issue. Let’s try to solve that.

    I have checked your site and while I got a 404 error on the month and the list view, the photo view seemed to work fine.

    Based on your settings it also looks like that only the photo view is enabled, however, the list view is set as the default, but that is not enabled.

    Try either setting the default view to photo, or enable the list view as well. Or any combination where these 2 options have a match. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

    I’m sorry about this issue and the conflict with the wpautop pluign, that is unfortunate.

    The code you shared gave me an idea. It might be enough to write a snippet into your functions.php file that checks if you are on the community events edit page (tribe_is_community_edit_event_page), and if yes, then simply do the remove_filters.

    Thanks for getting in touch. Let me try to help you with that.

    Basically both of them should be possible with some customization.

    For the second one I would definitely recommend a template override for the single events template. You can find more info about template overrides in our Themer’s Guide.

    The first one, showing all dates, is also possible with some custom coding, possibly with a template override as well. I believe this function would help you with that: tribe_get_recurrence_start_dates()

    Thanks for getting in touch!

    It is totally up to you. It’s a nice gesture to ask for permission, but not necessary.

    If the events are publicly available on Facebook, then Event Aggregator can import the events without further issue.

    The only thing you need to do is link your Facebook account with Event Aggregator (give Event Aggregator permission).

    That is a step closer, though my tests didn’t reveal anything.

    I put all 5 of out widgets into the “Sidebar Right” area, checked the home page and all looks good, no error messages. Then I went and deactivated / re-activated the PRO plugin. No change, no error messages.

    Which widget is causing the issue? (Events list, Events countdown, Events Calendar, Events featured venue, This week events)

    (Note, there is also a widget which is simply called “Calendar”, that is a built in widget of WordPress, nothing to do with us.)

    When do you see the issue? When you drag the widget in the sidebar? On the backend or on the frontend? Can you send a screenshot as well?

    Do you maybe have customizations / template overrides for the widget?

    Hi Thierry,

    I’m sorry about that visual issue. That happens because of the narrow width / low horizontal resolution of the device. I will open an internal bugticket for this so we can address this issue, however, at the moment I cannot confirm any date this will be fixed.

    As a workaround I can suggest you to change the translation of that string to something shorter, like “Envoyer la liste”. That will fit in one line so you will not see this glitch. Let me know if you need help with the translation process.

    Meanwhile can you also please check and confirm to me that the functionality works? Thanks!
