    Hallo Marcus,

    Sorry for the long wait, I was on holidays but now I’m back.

    So if I understand correctly, you would like the following feature:

    • Have a checkbox whether a featured image of an event should be shown or not
    • Have a checkbox whether Related events / images should be shown or not

    This can be likely done with some custom coding and a template override. We are limited in doing customizations like this but one of these freelancers should be able to help you out if you would like to have this feature fast.

    If you would like this as a built-in feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there. We regularly monitor feature requests on User Voice and if a requests is popular / gets a lot of votes then there is a high chance it will be included as a feature.

    I’m sorry about the radio silence, I was out on vacation.

    Hi Carsten,

    I understand your frustration and your disappointment.

    We are dealing with tens of bugreports for every maintenance release and we need to solve the bugs and issue according to some priority order. The issue you have reported here is very rarely encountered, we haven’t received any other reports of this until now. It is a unique case and has normal priority versus some issues who are affecting dozens of people or even he whole user base.

    Thank you for the solution you provided. It looks great and the developers are informed about it. In order for us to merge it into the code is not a simple copy-paste. It needs to go though several phases of testing.

    I now flagged the issue for the dev team if they can take a look at it and possibly get it fixed soon. The rest is up to them and our buglist. This is all I can do at the moment.

    Note, that a maintenance release will be coming later this week, this will definitely not be in it.

    What I can recommend as a workaround is that you “miss out” on the updates, so you don’t always need to manually do the code adjustment.

    The ticket is marked as “pending fix” so we will update it as soon as the fix is released.

    To get the organizer of an event you can use tribe_get_organizer().

    You can absolutely use One License for Live and Dev Sites. And this article on Moving Your License Keys might be helpful as well.

    How will I know when 4.5.3 is released?

    The message you see about the 4.5.2 update is quite normal. Just ignore it for now.

    Once 4.5.3 is released – should come later this week – then the update message will change to 4.5.3.

    Also, this thread is marked in the bugticket of the issue, so once the fix is released a team member will drop a note here for you. If you have email replies checked, then you’ll get a notification in your inbox as well.

    I’m sorry for the confusion. If you could point me to the page or documentation where you read this then I would be happy to check that and adjust it if needed.

    Also, I’m a bit confused as well. First you mentioned:

    Then you say:

    Creating an event in WordPress and keeping it in sync with Eventbrite is different then importing an event from Eventbrite with the importer.

    You should be able to <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>import</span> private events from Eventbrite with the importer. However, the ticket sales will likely not be visible on your site due to the private setting.

    Hi Ron,

    I’m afraid the process you described is not easy to achieve with our plugins straight away.

    One possible way could be selling tickets from the WooCommerce products page instead of the event page and using a plugin for WooCommerce that handles bundled products.

    Another way would be some custom development. Note however that developing and supporting customizations is beyond the scope of our support. If you would like to choose this path then I can share with you this list of freelancers who could help you out. They are not affiliated with us and are well known in the community.
