    Hi Julie,

Oh, I’m really sorry, I mixed up the filter bar plugin with Advanced Post Manager (APM), this is the one you need for the backend, not the Filter Bar. Apologies! :blushing:

How are you trying to create the banner / slider? Are you coding the whole thing yourself?

Based on what you wrote before I take it you want to pull posts and events that have a certain category and show those in the slider.

You could try using tags instead, because that is the same for posts and events.

You could create a custom query, that:

    • pulls all posts_types “post” and “tribe_events”
    • that have the defined category / tag
    • and if it’s an event then it’s in the future

I am only trying to show featured posts on the banner.

With this are you referring to the setting where you can set an event as “featured”? (screenshot)

    Hi Suzie,

Yes, for the time being these are the conditions that the remote site needs to meed:

    • has to be WordPress
    • has to run possibly the latest version of The Events Calendar
    • has to have the REST API feature enabled / not blocked

Although that site seems to be running WordPress, it is not using The Events Calendar, but some other event management plugin. That is the reason why you can’t import events from that site. 🙁

Do you have any other questions before I close this thread?

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Christine,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

Sorry about this issue. I will try to help you solve this.

I checked the HWLH url you sent, that page lead me to another when I clicked on “Click here to secure your place.” And that page showed one ticket for $454.55 (screenshot) and seems to be working.

Are you missing the tickets somewhere else? Can you please share direct URLs to those?

It would also be helpful if you could send some screenshots of how the tickets are set up for those events which don’t show them.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Jochen,

Hey, thanks for getting in touch with us!

The cheapest option for Event Aggregator is the $89 / year package, which boils down to $0.24 / day. At the moment we are not planning to introduce anything lower than that.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Tony,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

No, you don’t need WooCommerce Box Office.

You only need The Events Calendar, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and WooCommerce (or Easy Digital Downloads) to be able to create and sell tickets on your site.

The rest is extra functionality. 🙂

Does this help? Let me know.

    Hello Becky,

    That is absolutely possible.

You can set your default view under Events > Settings > Display tab > Default view.

    It looks like this: https://cloudup.com/cz9e7IMYy21

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Hello again,

This is the information I gathered.

In ET+ 4.5 the API was added / extended to get ticket, attendee, event, and order information from a post id for RSVP, EDD, and WooCommerce Tickets.

This is however not REST API, but rather a PHP API.

The following functions were added to the plugin:

    tribe_tickets_get_event_ids( $id )
    tribe_tickets_get_ticket_provider( $id )
    tribe_tickets_get_attendees( $id, $context = null )
    tribe_tickets_get_meta( $id, $context = null )
    tribe_tickets_has_meta_data( $id, $context = null )
    tribe_tickets_has_meta_fields( $id, $context = null )

You can use these in PHP code in a plugin, extension, add-on, snippets etc.

I hope this clarifies. If you have more questions I’d be happy to help.

    Cheers,

    Hello Daniel,

Thanks for getting in touch! That’s a great question there.

I’m sorry to say, this feature – limiting how many events are imported – is not implemented in Event Aggregator at the moment, so it is not possible to do.

If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Hola Antonio,

Hmmm… that’s weird. Let’s try to figure this out.

Are the two “Serrato” venues typed identically? Do they have the same details like address and postal code? What is the slug of these 2 venues?

When “Serrato” was imported for the first time, was it imported / created with the same event?

Does it happen with more venues?

If you have several events / event URLs that have the same venue, can you please share?

    Thanks and cheers?

    Hello Eric,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’m sorry about the issues you are experiencing. I’m happy to help you solve them.

    1) Scheduled imports are not occurring. I have to go in and ‘run import’

This is an issue we are aware of – still. We have released a fix in TEC 4.5.11 which helped a lot of users, but there are still some having this issue. We are further investigating what could be the cause of this.

Could you please try with one of the imports what happens if you delete, then re-create it?

Also it would help us a ton in our investigation if you could share a database dump with us. Thanks!

    2) Featured images associated with each event are not uploading.

Sorry to hear that. Does this happen with all events or with imported events? If imported, then which source?

This seems to be conflict with Formidable Pro, button you confirm that?

Unfortunately we do not have access Formidable Pro and it’s addons. I have checked and so far there is no report of this conflict, so I cannot confirm. I’ll see what I can do. If you could share a copy of the plugin for testing, that would help too.

I would recommend you to also report this conflict to the Formidable devs too.

    3) I changed the global settings so that each event would go into the ‘pending review’ list. However, when I look at the scheduled imports, the setting is directly to ‘publish’

Once a scheduled import is set up, then it will honor the settings you had for the import itself. Changing the global setting will not change the setting of already saved imports.

You can however edit your saved imports and set the status to pending. To do this go to your Events > Import > Scheduled Imports and click on Edit below the import you want to adjust.

    4) The ‘Run Import’ function that overrides the scheduled import doesn’t seem to be working consistently. It works for some Facebook pages, but not for others. We get a little red exclamation point next to the ones that fail.

What is the error message that you get if you hover over the red exclamation marks? It can give us further information on why the import failed. Please check and let me know.

I have to say that since purchase of the Events Calendar I have been extremely disappointed in its performance and continuing bugs, none of which seem to have been fixed in your latest release,

I can understand your disappointment. I want to assure you that our developers are continuously working on fixing the different bugs that are found. Some are easy to fix, some – unfortunately – can take a longer time, thus no matter how much we’d like, we cannot fix everything in one release. Nevertheless, we try our best.

Thanks for sticking with us so far and I’m looking forward to helping you fix the above issues in the fastest way possible.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello James,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

Sorry about the issues you are experiencing. I’d be happy to give you a helping hand. Let’s go one-by-one.

As a first I would like to ask you to update the calendar and ticket plugins to the latest versions, as some of the issues might have been solved since then. Thanks!

    1.  … I have noticed the ticket number on the front end of the site are not going down after the transaction has been set to complete

Is this happening for all of the events / tickets? Or only with the tickets that have global stock enabled?

    2. I have also been using a code scanner ‘QuickMark’ to test the check in facility, but noticed nothing updating within the CMS

To be able to check in tickets / users with the QR code first you need to be logged in to the WordPress site on the device you are using for scanning.

When scanning the QR code it will take you to a specific URL – unique to every code – in your browser. If you are logged in to the site and this URL is loaded, that should check in the user. If you look at the attendee list (refresh) then you should see the user / ticket checked in.

Is this what you are doing?

    3. Finally do you know of a plugin that will easily allow me to display all upcoming events in the system from within the WordPress CMS, this is so I can easily keep track of events running and event organisers.

I see you also have EC PRO. With this you can use some shortcodes to list events in different ways on the front end. Here’s an article about this.

Also there is a third-party plugin, The Events Calendar Shortcode, which might help you achieve what you need. Please note, this plugin is not developed by us so we cannot provide support for it.

Looking forward to helping you fix this.

    Hello Joy,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. I’m sorry you are having this problem.

Do I understand correctly, that you are doing an export of your Events Calendar, which you want to import then to Google Calendar?
Which view are you trying to export?

In order to be able to give you better support, please make sure that your plugins and WordPress are up to date, and please share your system information with me. Thanks!

Could you also share with me the URL where you are trying to export from? I would like to run some tests.

Thanks and looking forward to helping you fix this.

    Hi Alyson,

Somewhere before the end curly bracket “}” put something like this:

    document.getElementById("in-tribe_events_cat-19").checked = true;

where the number (19 in this example) is the ID of the category you want to select.

You can find out the ID of a category if you open it up for editing. Your URL will look something like this:

    https://domain.com/wp-admin/term.php?taxonomy=tribe_events_cat&tag_ID=19&post_type=tribe_events&wp_http_referer=%2Ftec%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit-tags.php%3Ftaxonomy%3Dtribe_events_cat%26post_type%3Dtribe_events

You see the “tag_ID=19”, that is the number you need to copy.

Good luck! Let me know if you get it to work!

    Cheers,
    Andras
