KeymasterHello Suzie,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! I’m happy to help you out here with your questions.
Event Aggregator and Events Calendar PRO are separate products with separate licenses.
Event Aggregator will help you with importing events from different sources, while Events Calendar PRO will enhance your calendar giving you recurring events, additional fields, the usage of shortcodes and other such extra functionalities.
If you need both, then our Importer Bundle offer might interest you.
You can find a lot of help and documentation in our knowledgebase.
The ones for Event Aggregator are here, and the ones for PRO here.
I hope this helps. Is there anything I can help you with?
Cheers,
AndrasAugust 31, 2017 at 3:30 pm #1343390Suzie
ParticipantMany thanks for your help.

KeymasterHi,
Happy to help. 🙂
The “Other URL” import is currently in beta phase, so it’s not fully finalized yet.
Are you getting an error message when trying to import? What is it?
Currently these are the ones we know about.

ParticipantThanks Andras
This is the error message
There was an error fetching the results from your import: Event Aggregator cannot import events from this site.Is it only wordpress websites I can import from?
Many thanksSeptember 5, 2017 at 4:21 am #1344776Andras
KeymasterHi Suzie,
Yes, for the time being these are the conditions that the remote site needs to meed:
- has to be WordPress
- has to run possibly the latest version of The Events Calendar
- has to have the REST API feature enabled / not blocked
Although that site seems to be running WordPress, it is not using The Events Calendar, but some other event management plugin. That is the reason why you can’t import events from that site. 🙁
Do you have any other questions before I close this thread?
