    Cordes,

I apologize, I was referring to the custom fields in the settings, which is indeed a different thing.

There is a way to save a custom fieldset for reuse on future events (check “Save this fieldset for use on other tickets”) but not a built in way to enable by default or to import these fields with a ticket, unfortunately.

While researching this, I did come across mention of another custom field for tickets, “_tribe_wooticket_for_event” which is similar to what I first posted except specific to WooCommerce. The first one I provided was specific to “Easy Digital Downloads,” so not sure if that helps with your original line of inquiry.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Heather,

Have you downloaded and installed the Events Calendar Pro plugin? Once you have done that, the field for your license key should show up on the page in your screenshot.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Richard,

Looking at your site, I see that there are some javascript errors in the console. These are preventing the events from loading correctly in the photo view. I am not seeing this in my test environment.

Can you make sure you are using the latest versions of the Events Calendar plugins? Then try following the steps in our Testing for Conflicts Guide to see if the issue is related to your theme or one of the other plugins you are using.

Give that a shot and let me know if the events show properly.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Cordes,

When you are in the “preview” step of importing, there are two dropdowns at the bottom, one for setting the status, and one for setting a category. If you do add a custom category, you will need to create it beforehand. You could also just set them all to “pending review” if you don’t have other events with that status, and not need to add the temporary category.

When importing Tickets, it’s important that the event has already been created before doing the import. There is a field for ticket stock, but it only accepts an integer, so I’m not sure about setting it to unlimited. But I assume setting it to some number that you know will never be reached would have the same effect.

Custom field information imports the same as the default fields. You just need to set the correct column in the CSV to the custom field name. For them to show up, you just need to have created the custom fields in Events > Settings beforehand.

There is a history of imported events on the import page, but it does not specify why events were not imported. There are a few fields that are essential when importing an event. I believe it’s event name, event start date, and event end date. If one of these fields is missing or using the wrong format etc, it will not be able to import the event. Pay attention to how the dates are formatted. You need to use slashes or hyphens depending on what order the day and month are in.

You can read more about the import process here.

Let me know if any of that helps, and if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Heather!

I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with your license. I will try to help you get this sorted.

I checked it out, and your license is valid, and it does not yet have a site associated with it. Things to check:

    1) You are copying the license key that is shown when you log in to your theeventscalendar.com account.
    2) You are pasting it in the correct place. In Events > Settings > Licenses tab, make sure to add the license key to the “Events Calendar PRO” license field, and not the field for Aggregator or any other plugins.

If you are doing these things, can you please take a screenshot of the field with your license key in it and the “not valid” message visible, and upload it here in a private reply?

    Thanks!

    Hi Greg!

Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, the “event series” functionality is how the Event Calendar Pro handles non-consecutive multi-day events. I understand that the way it works does not perfectly meet every user’s needs, but fortunately the plugins are fairly extendable.

It is possible to customize a template to show the full date range of an event series. You can read more about how to approach this on this support thread.

For more information on customizing Events templates, check out our Themer’s Guide.

Let me know if this helps, or if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Hi Susan!

If I understand correctly, you want to output a single row of the four most recent events on your homepage. I will try to help you achieve this.

Unfortunately, I am limited in how much support I can provide for customizations, but I will try to help get you pointed in the right direction.

You can add any of the calendar views to pages or posts on your site using a shortcode. You can read more about how to use the shortcodes at this knowledgebase article.

It sounds like the “Photo” view is close to what you are wanting. Here is an example shortcode that will output four upcoming events in a grid like fashion.
    [tribe_events view="photo" limit="4" tribe-bar="false"]

The only problem is that by default, the photo view has three columns in the grid instead of four. Looking at it, it may a bit complicated to override the default configuration, as it uses javascript to set the position depending on the width of the view.

Another option would be to start with the list view, and override the CSS to get the look you want.

You can read more about customizing the templates by reading our Themer’s Guide.

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Erin!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having an issue with the map showing on your event. I will try to help you figure out the problem.

I don’t see a link to any events in your post, but I can suggest some things to check.

Navigate to the Venue that is not showing up, and check the “Venue Information” metabox. First, make sure “Show Google Map” is checked. Then, check “use latitude and longitude” and save. Does the latitude/longitude data get filled in? In either case, check to see if this fixed the issue.

Let me know how that goes for you.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Alina,

Ah, I understand your issue now. This is actually the expected behavior, and was recently updated to correct this. The calendar in this widget acts as the interface for the list of events below. It was decided that it didn’t make sense to show events from other months as you navigate from month to month.

If you just want to display a list of the next 5 events, you need to use the “Events List” widget.

Let me know if this helps.

    Cordes,

I am sorry that the information I provided didn’t help. I am limited in the amount of support I can provide for the process when using a third party plugin. Perhaps we can look at your issues with the default import options?

What did you find limiting about the default import process? Maybe we can get that to work as desired? I did think of a way you could identify the items of an import. You can create a temporary category to assign to each event in the import, and then delete afterwards. If something goes wrong in the process, you could use that category to identify all the events from that batch.

Let me know if there’s any way we can work with the default import option.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Chris,

It was worth a shot. Thanks for trying. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other workarounds to suggest.

We will have to wait for the development team to take a look and figure out a solution. We’ll let you know when any progress has been made on the ticket.

    Thanks for your patience,

    Hi Kim!

Where are you wanting these different logos to display?

All our plugins, including Events Tickets and Events Tickets Plus have templates that can be overridden for the various views, emails, etc. You could certainly customize any of these to display different images based on things like event category, tags, etc. However, this is not something that is built into the default settings.

Check out our Themer’s Guide to find out more about customizing our plugins.

Let me know if this answered your question, or if you have any others.

    Thanks,
    Sky
