    Rebecca,

RSS is a standard feature of WordPress, and not specific to the Events plugin. If your users are using an RSS feed reader, they can certainly subscribe to your site and events that are posted there. This does not directly work with calendar services like Google Calendar however. There are services out there that do this sort of thing though. You can Google “RSS to Google Calendar” to search the various integrations.

You can read more about using RSS with the Events Calendar here.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Karen,

May I ask where you are downloading the plugin from? You should be logging in to your theeventscalendar.com account and going to the “downloads” section. This will allow you to download a zipped copy of the plugin which is ready to be added to WordPress via the “Plugins” interface.

The file “events-calendar-pro.php” is only one of many files inside the plugin, so something is not right. You can read more about installation of our plugins here.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Anna,

To elaborate, I mean that there isn’t a generic class you can add to your own markup that will make any field you create just work. You will need to maintain the id, classes and other attributes for the javascript to keep working with those fields. You could probably add some CSS classes to the fields for custom styling purposes, but they will need the original data.

The label and field markup is generated via a few php functions which have filters which may be used for customization. You could use these filters, or, you could copy the markup the php generates and add your own classes to that. Again, this type of customization is outside of our scope of support. If you are an experienced PHP developer, it is certainly possible to customize. Otherwise, dealing with some clunky CSS may be easier.

Good luck! Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Greg!

With the Events Calendar Pro, you can use shortcodes to display events in various configurations, such as “list view” as you described. You can also choose to show only events of a certain tag or category, so If you tagged them with “CPR” you can target that in the shortcode. To read more about the shortcodes, check out this knowledgebase article.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks,

    Hi Rebecca,

Unfortunately, this is not a feature of the Events Calendar plugins. You can pull events into WordPress from something like Google Calendar on a scheduled basis. But users would need to subscribe to that Google Calendar directly in order to have it update for them automatically.

    Does that make sense?

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hello there!

There is a setting in Events > Settings > Community to allow community organizers to be able to edit their events. To do this, they need to have a WordPress user account. You can read more about allowing users to register for accounts on your site here.

Organizers can view and download reports on ticket sales etc. from the events/community/list page. The links can be seen on the event in this screenshot:

Let me know if that helps, or if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Hi Anna!

The validation script is tied to the information in the fields, so modifying them may prevent the script from working, and would require custom js to re-implement. This level of customization is unfortunately a bit outside of our Scope of Support.

You can read more about customizing the Event templates on our Themer’s Guide.

Is it possible for you to modify the layout without changing the fields/labels? Maybe just focus on the container elements?

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Angela,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your site. Taking a look, I’m seeing errors in the console, but none that seem to be related to the Events Calendar plugins.

You may want to go through our Testing for Conflicts Guide to see if the problem is being caused by one of your other plugins or the theme itself. As this doesn’t seem to be a problem with the Events Calendar, I’m afraid I cannot help with the issue. I do wish you the best of luck, however, getting it sorted out.

Let us know if you have any Events Calendar specific issues in the future.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Karen,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the Events Calendar Pro. I will try to help you get it sorted.

Looking at the errors you posted, it seems the plugin somehow thinks it is located in a directory named “events-calendar-pro.php_” when it should be simply “events-calendar-pro.”

Not sure what could cause this, but let’s start with getting rid of the plugin that is there. If you are unable to delete the plugin via the WordPress interface, you can remove it via SFTP. The plugin will be in the “wp-content/plugins” directory. Please delete the plugin completely, and re-download from theeventscalendar.com. You can just drop the fresh unzipped copy in the same place, or try uploading the zipped plugin through the WordPress admin.

Make sure that the Events Calendar free plugin is installed and activated before activating the Events Calendar Pro.

If you get the same errors again, I would retry the process, but with the Twenty Seventeen theme active and all non Events Calendar plugins disabled, as is described in our Testing for Conflicts Guide.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Shelley,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I will try to help with your issue.

Do you have a link to where you are seeing this JSON being output? Please provide line numbers for where on the page it starts as well.

    Thanks!

    Dan,

I apologize for the delayed response on this. Nobody else I asked has heard of this happening.

Could you please provide me with a database dump of your site? You can use a plugin like this if you’re not sure how to do this. You will likely need to upload to a file sharing service such as dropbox due to the file size, and provide the link here in a private reply.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Erin,

Interesting. Geo-location is a feature of the Events Calendar Pro plugin, and should be showing up with the other checkboxes in your screenshot, regardless of things like Google API entered, maps enabled, etc. Can you double check that you have the Pro plugin enabled?

Also, I am seeing some javascript errors in the console while viewing your site. Something is creating errors that are preventing other scripts from working properly. Can you please run through our Testing for Conflicts Guide to see if this is being caused by your theme or one of the other plugins you have installed?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Cor,

Thank you for checking for errors in the debug file.

Could you try creating a staging site copy of this, and providing a link to the events page using the Twenty Seventeen theme and all other plugins disabled? You can do this using a WordPress plugin, WP Staging.

Are you using any type of caching plugin or service? I see that at least at some point you had two separate plugins for changing the post order, and am wondering if either one of these plugins is still active, or if the results are somehow being cached.

    Thanks,
    Sky
