So, you can control whether or not the excerpt shows, and whether or not to show the image by using this format for the shortcode:

[tribe_events view=’list’ excerpt=’yes’ thumb=’yes’ ]

However, you can’t specify excerpt length with this shortcode. If you need that functionality, I would recommend checking out this plugin.

So, after conferring with my team, I’ve confirmed the following:

You’ll want to review the Tribe__Events__Rewrite class found in src/Tribe/Rewrite.php and pay attention to references to the 'tax' (taxonomy) base and the filters we provide in that file to make these kinds of changes. It was also suggested that you might use the ‘tribe_events_category_slug’ filter. In either case, you’ll need to flush your permalinks after.

It’s also worth noting, that changes like this will require a good knowledge of how rewrite rules/permalinks are handled in WordPress, so you’ll want to make sure you’re working with your own developer, as the specifics of making these changes are beyond the scope of support for this plugin.

The countdown shortcode is actually a very new feature, and as such, we’re still building out use cases regarding functionality for it. If you’d like to, you can submit your idea as a feature on our feature request page here.

Unfortunately, custom development like this is outside of the scope of even premium support, though we are consistently actively developing the plugins to improve them for scenarios such as this one.

For now, assigning seats is not a part of our plugin, though assigned seating is something we’re definitely looking into for the future. For now, I would say Eventbrite Tickets is your best bet to accomplish something like this without much efford. Eventbrite.com offers seating charts and arrangements and Eventbrite Tickets will do the work to display those tickets on your event and allow guests to choose and purchase seats from Eventbrite.com. I would also imagine something like this could be done with some plugin customization, or perhaps utilizing Advanced Custom Fields?

If only your parent site needs the plugin, you’ll be fine to keep the personal license for now. It gets tricky only if you need an updated version to be active and supported for all of your sub-sites. 🙂

This sounds like it may be a theme conflict. Could you please work through the steps here to test for a conflict, and let me know what you find? In the mean time, I’ll work to try and pinpoint a way to remove the duplicates, though I find it interesting that they use different terminology/language.

For each of the plugins in the bundle, you’ll receive licenses that have 3 installs available, which includes Events Aggregator. 🙂

Ideally, you would want to purchase the Business license off the bat, so that you won’t have to go through the process of getting your license switched at a later date, but if you do decide to start out with the individual license, our support team would be happy to help you apply your purchase toward an upgrade if you decide to upgrade on a future date. 🙂
