MemberAwesome – thanks Barry. Looking into it this morning and I’ll get you a response as soon as I’ve got a substantive answer.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear, Troy! That site is looking hot…great work, the colors have a real nice feel to them.
If anything else comes up going forward…don’t hesitate to let me know.
Rob
MemberHey Barry. Thanks for the note and my apologies for the inconvenience. I believe I responded to an email sent from Rebecca on this previously; assuming yours is the same.
This sounds like something I’m going to need backend access to your site to check out. Would you mind shooting a pair of credentials to rob at tri.be? I can check it out from there (or get a dev involved as needed) from there.
Rob
MemberThat is bizarre; thanks for checking into it. Seems it may be worth adding some documentation on this once 3.3 is released so people know to check for that if they encounter this issue. Appreciate the tip.
Rob
MemberThanks for the note, Bill. So you’re saying: the ability to determine when “list” view starts? Would what you’re envisioning be acceptable as a widget?
December 1, 2011 at 4:21 pm in reply to: Calendar not showing at all, page just stops loading #11622Rob
MemberHey Jamie. I’m afraid this is getting to the stage where it’s outside the realm of what we’re able to provide direct support on; since it sounds to be a conflict with theme we unfortunately don’t have the development resources to hunt that down and resolve it directly for you. However, if your developer had any questions as he hunted for it that you’d like to run by us, we’d be happy to help in that capacity. Apologies for the inconvenience here. Let me know if you need anything else from me on this.
December 1, 2011 at 7:59 am in reply to: Events Calendar 2.0.1+Headway2.0.13 Displays Calendar PageTitle in All Nav Items #11610Rob
MemberHey Bob. I’m told that these issues (or at least, a similar related one reported by another user) were resolved by upgrading to Headway 3.0. Any chance you’d be willing to give that a shot to see if the issue persists?
Rob
MemberAwesome – thanks for confirming. I’ll get Jonah to respond today.
Rob
MemberExcellent! If you have any other questions, Robert, just give us a shout.
Rob
MemberAt this point, switching the map used would require some serious hackery that we’ve unfortunately not got the bandwidth to provide direct support on. And even then it’d be difficult to get working and would require hacking at the core plugin files…we’d definitely advise against it if possible.
Sorry I couldn’t offer more here. Let me know if you’ve got any further questions on this.
Rob
MemberWeird. Thanks for doing that; let me see if our devs have any suggestions on this. If it’s happening in 2011 as well this could be a bug (though oddly I’m unable to recreate on my default 2011 install).
Rob
MemberThis should be doable. Have you tried the different templating options available under Settings -> The Events Calendar? Let me know if they didn’t accomplish what you were going for.
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. That’s a good suggestion. Thanks for clarifying 🙂 Something like that shouldn’t be too hard to implement.
Rob
MemberSunil: week view does not exist, yet. We’ve got it on the radar for a future 2.x release though. You can style the calendar as you wish, yes – pretty much anything is possible with a template override if you feel comfortable doing some dev work on your own. As for creating an application to display the event happening now…this likely wouldn’t be too hard, but of course isn’t available out of the box. We do have something similar though, which is a “Next Event” widget that shows whatever the next upcoming event is.
Quett: That functionality doesn’t yet exist. We’re working on our Community Events add-on, which will allow for frontend event submissions, but that’s still a work in progress and hasn’t yet gotten to beta stage.
Thanks for the interest, folks! Let me know if you have any other questions on this.
Rob
MemberHi Peter. By default the calendar has to live at a specific URL (ie /events); but, you could display event data by using template tags on the home page. Have you checked out our template tag documentation at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation ?
