MemberMy pleasure…sorry we couldn’t offer up anything in the short term. We’re working on 2.0.3 and will get it out ASAP. Let me know if you need anything else from us in the interim!
Rob
MemberHey Jesus. Yes, we’d be happy to help – but please understand that we only hit the forums a couple times a day, so responses won’t be immediate. You’ll always get a follow-up within max 24 hours though.
As for the issue here: I’m running Events 2.0.2 on WP 3.2.1 with the default 2011 theme active, and am unable to recreate your issue. Same thing when I upgrade to WP 3.3. Is it possible this is a conflict with your theme? Have you tried another browser? Since I’m unable to recreate, it doesn’t sound like a bug with the plugin…but I’m happy trying to assist you in figuring out what’s up.
Rob
MemberHey Jesus – you hadn’t heard back because it was less than 12 hours since your last response 🙂 We hit the forums generally twice a day (usually mornings and evenings), but it’s probably wise to expect up to 24 hours between responses just to be safe. I’m the only person who leads the charge on this forum so it’s not like we have a huge team addressing everything as it comes in. Though that’d be nice…
As for this: I can get our developer Jonah to respond with suggestions on this, now that we know what exactly is up. Note that he’s already done his forum work for the day, so we’ll get you a response no later than tomorrow. Thanks!

MemberThanks Scott. That page doesn’t actually load for me; is it restricted by IP address or something similar?
Rob
MemberThanks — I understand the issue now. And you want to just delete start/end time from the list entirely? Or do you want to keep it, but get it displaying the appropriate time?
Rob
MemberWe may be able to provide you some guidance on this; though I will say that from what we’ve seen, users are expecting that the frontend venue link is going to take them to a page showing all events at that venue (we actually added it because we got so many requests for that).
This being said, what you’re aiming for could likely be hacked together. Let me see what our developer Jonah can offer up…he’ll chime in directly.
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear, Mike! Glad to see you got this working. Let us know if anything else comes up going forward.
Rob
MemberYou can give the 3.3 install a shot, certainly. We have been testing on it and so far haven’t noticed anything more than a few weird display issues (that were minor and have been ironed out for 2.0.2). Go for it! Just backup beforehand, as you would before making an update of this magnitude.
Rob
MemberHah. I actually have exchanged emails with the Headway guys a few times…why don’t I shoot them a note about this to see what’s up? No guarantees it’ll lead to anything, but seems worth a shot and they’ve been rather receptive so far. But I can see where they’re coming from regarding supporting plugin conflicts. It can definitely be a time-consuming issue.
Also, we decided yesterday that we’re going to have a 2.0.3 release that’ll be out no later than 12/24; this is one of the 10 issues we’re including in that “emergency” release. We haven’t yet squashed the bug so I can’t guarantee we’ll have a fix for you, but it’s one of our main priorities right now so I expect it’ll be resolved. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more…sit tight until that 2.0.3 release and hopefully you’ll be all set.
Rob
MemberHey Christopher. This plugin doesn’t actually allow for shortcodes, given how it’s built. But, you do have a number of template tags at your disposal that should give you greater customization options regarding how to display events and where. Have you checked out our documentation on that? It can be found right here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/.
Does that give you what you need, or at least point you in the right direction?
Rob
MemberHey Albert. Is it possible you have an earlier version of The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO installed? You’d need to deactivate that before turning on the 2.0.2 versions.
December 14, 2011 at 7:45 am in reply to: Just added an event to a day and it is last, not tucked in where it should be… #12280Rob
MemberI would tread lightly at first; ie try one and see if it fixes the issue (in this case I’d think that would be the Yin event on Wednesdays that you noted). Are you able to give that a shot?
Rob
MemberAre these all-day events, Jesus? Can you share a link to your site so we can check out the issue directly?
December 14, 2011 at 7:42 am in reply to: Display a featured event in a front page feature box #12278Rob
MemberThanks for sharing, Carlos. We should be able to help at least point you in the right direction on this. Let me get our developer Jonah to chime in with his thoughts.
December 13, 2011 at 7:15 pm in reply to: After upgraded to 2.02. Start date & end date disappeared #12261Rob
MemberTerrance: it’ll be a 2.0.3 release, hopefully no later than mid-to-late next week. We’ll keep you posted.
