MemberHey Sam, thanks for the note. Does this persist after upgrading both free & PRO to 2.0.3?
Rob
MemberHey Raul. It should be coming in 2.1, which will be hopefully be out sometime over the next month. You shouldn’t have to create an HTML link; couldn’t they subscribe in Google Calendar with the iCal link?
Rob
MemberThis is good to know, Sam – thanks. While we can’t guarantee anything, we’re always looking for plugins that ours conflicts with so we can try our best to rectify them for a future release. Appreciate you pointing this out.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear! Thanks for confirming guys. Sorry about the inconvenience during the 2.0.2 weeks. Let me know if you need anything else.
Rob
MemberHey Son. Thanks for the note. Not at this point, no; this is a good suggestion though. Assuming it’s possible with the Google Maps API (not sure) we could add it to the table for discussion as we build out post-2.1 releases. We’re going to be basing that discussion largely on this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/), so if you posted there it’d be a vote of sorts. Thanks again for the feedback and let me know if you need anything else.

MemberHey Michael. Thanks for the note and sorry to hear that you’re having issues. There’s unfortunately no easy way to get around it that wouldn’t require heavy hackery (and even then I’m not positive it would work); is there any way you have a testing/staging environment where you could give it a go with those plugins installed? It’s also possible, as was the case with Pedro, that it’s a theme conflict. Do you have a way to test on a different theme, while keeping all your other plugins active so not disrupting the live environment?

MemberThe PRO update sometimes takes up to 24 hours to reach everyone. By now, you should have found it – let me know whether it did the trick. Both would need to be on the same release (2.0.3) for it to be functioning correctly.
If that doesn’t work, shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) with the credentials and a link to this thread; I can check it out from there. Thanks!

MemberHey Tony. Thanks for the note, and for the feedback. We are expecting that users working with this plugin will have some WordPress development experience. That being said I’m not a developer myself, so I can certainly get Jonah to offer up his thoughts on how this would be done.
Rob
MemberYes, we’ve got a resolution for this in the works for 2.1.
Rob
MemberHi Corey. Sorry to hear this isn’t fully functional…we did some testing to figure out what was up on our end, and figured out that this isn’t impacting all child themes, just a subset of them. As we were eager to get 2.0.3 out so we could move into the broader 2.1 release, we put that on the backburner to focus on bugs impacting all users. This will be addressed in the 2.1 release, when we have more bandwidth to focus on it development-wise. We’re hoping to have that out over the next month. Apologies that I couldn’t offer up more.

MemberHey Jason. Thanks for confirming. I just double checked on the 2.0.3 code following your instructions here and was still unable to recreate. To be clear: if you have the defaults enabled (via the checkbox) and have selected “Use New Venue,” that – along with any text you’ve added to the state/city/etc fields – will appear as a new venue (not dropdown) on the event creation page.
You’re experiencing something different, as I understand it. Can you share a couple screenshots of how the settings page is configured + how the event creation page looks after saving the settings page? I will try and further figure out what’s up from there.
Rob
MemberDefault start/end times is a great suggestion. I believe we’ve got an issue logged for the second point, but if not I will make sure that gets done for 2.1 – I agree that this is a necessity. Thanks for the ideas 🙂

MemberNo prob. Did you get the two items not addressed elsewhere resolved?
Rob
MemberJust another follow-up here. This is looking to be a more time consuming task than we’d initially expected, and our devs are going to have to jump deeper in and take a look. If we can, we’ll provide a patch via a response to the forum post or a blog post shortly. But it may have to wait until 2.1 depending on where in the code the issue occurs.
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here. Let me know if you have any other questions.

MemberHey Jason. There shouldn’t be a 2.0.4 release out yet – you mean 2.0.3, right? I’m weirdly unable to recreate this issue…the saved defaults seem to be working fine. Can you confirm that you’re on 2.0.3 for both releases?
