Michael
ParticipantI’ve created a couple of recurring event series with my installation. The events show up on the correct days, with the correct time durations, but all events after the first occurence have a start time of 00:00 instead of the original value. Is this an identified bug?
Can be seen here:

ParticipantRecurring events are “Officers’ Meeting” (every month) and “Team Meeting” (every other month).

MemberHey Michael. Thanks for the note. If I understand your issue correctly, it’s the same one that we’ve identified as a legit issue (fixing for 2.0.3) and have put up a patch for in the interim: https://theeventscalendar.com/patch-for-the-events-calendar-2-0-2-date-bug/.
Does that help? Or have I misunderstood the issue here? Let me know.

ParticipantHey Rob. No it doesn’t have to do with the dates, but rather the Times associated with the recurring events. All the dates are correct. The time is defaulted to midnight for starting time for all events past the first instance. I created the recurring events under 2.0.1, and have since updated to 2.0.2 and applied the date.php patch as well, with the same issue. Should I delete the series, and recreate under the new install to see if that resolves?

MemberThanks Michael. I would do that, yes — just to see what result it has. It’s definitely possible that this is a bug, though since we haven’t yet heard it reported it’d be good to know if this is a legacy 2.0.1 -> 2.0.2 item. I’ll get a dev to jump in from there.

ParticipantOkay. Deleted the original series of events (both), and recreated (following update to 2.0.2 and patch to date.php). Same issue occured when using the Custom recurrence – all events after initial default to a start time of 00:00.

ParticipantI can confirm this problem with custom recurring events. All other recurring settings (weekly, monthly, etc) seem to be fine, but when trying to use custom for events that occur on, say, the fourth Tuesday of the month, all times for the events following the initial are set to 00:00.
Maybe a clue to the problem is that the initial event doesn’t seem to hold its recurring status–when I returned to edit the first event, thinking that I had just set the times incorrectly, the first event wasn’t linked to the events that followed; it didn’t have the recurring box checked, and when I updated it with a recurring setting again, I didn’t get the dialog box asking if I wanted to edit just this event or all following, and then I had two sets of recurring events on the fourth Tuesdays, each happening at 00:00.

ParticipantShould update to say: I’ve applied the date.php patch, am running 2.0.2 of both plugins and 3.3.1 WP, PHP 5.3.X (not sure [and doubting] we’re on the latest release), not sure of Ajax version (can check later).

MemberThanks for confirming, guys. Have either of you updated to the 2.0.3 releases for both free & PRO that came out today? Would you be willing to give that a shot, resave your permalinks and then see if this persists on new events you create?

ParticipantUpdated both to 2.0.3. Deleted previous custom recurring events. Recreated. Issue resolved. All instances of recurring meeting now show the correct times.
Thanks much!
