Marc
ParticipantUpcoming events not showing up in widget on pages, archives and category pages etc. (just in normal posts). There is just text that says “There are no upcoming events at this time”. Why?
Events aren’t handling the feature image correctly. Giant featured images are inserted above the calendar, both in grid and list view. It’s easy enough to just not use a feature image but then there is no thumbnail. Wouldn’t be so much a problem for the image to be up there, but it is showing up behind the navigation. Just looks bad and hard to see the navigation then…
Website field and phone field are for some reason are lumped into one field. why?

MemberHey Marc. I believe your third issue you posted in another thread already, right? If so let’s keep the discussion for it going over there.
On your first item: did the update to 2.0.3 fix this? It should have, but let me know if not (I may be misunderstanding the issue). If so can you send a link?
For problem number two: the featured image should display large above the item in the individual entry, but should be scaled down a bit in list view and turned into a thumbnail in the tooltip hover. Is it possible your theme is conflicting here?
Let me know about these and I can get a developer to chime in as needed.

ParticipantSorry about that. Thanks.

MemberNo prob. Did you get the two items not addressed elsewhere resolved?
January 14, 2012 at 9:03 pm #13391Marc
ParticipantNo, I didn’t. I was told that it was “theme incompatibilities”, but given no indication as to where the problem might lie. I will most likely end up paying a developer to rip your code apart and figure out why it isn’t working.

MemberHi Marc. Thanks for the follow-up and apologies we couldn’t do more here. If the developer has any questions, or has any revelations on things that were incompatible that could be changed (without impacting users running other themes) to make it run smoother on your site, let me know and I can have a developer double check them.

ParticipantWas a conflict with the Jetpack plugin.

ParticipantActually sorry, posted on wrong topic. This one is still not resolved…

ParticipantUgh, this is soo annoying that you can’t edit previous comments. The events list page problems were due to Jetpack. The other two problems I mentioned are as of yet unresolved.

MemberThanks Marc. I’m pretty sure I get it: featured image and website field are still problematic, right? Let me see what Jonah can suggest on those. I know the list item was the most difficult of the two for us to diagnose, and since you’re still having problems, we’ll do what we can to help with the other items.

ParticipantHey, this has long since ceased being Marc. This is actually his developer. I fixed the upcoming events widget issue.
The following are still issues:
1) Events are not handling featured images correctly
2) Website and Phone being lumped into one field
I’m hoping to have these solved tonight, but will post back with updates indicating if I do or not.

ParticipantUpdate:
1) This was indeed a template issue. Somehow it was using one of my post templates even though there is no way for me to set or control that. Yay :(.
2) I had a single.php (or something, can’t remember now) file in place to overwrite your template file because of issues from before this latest release. This was, of course, keeping the newest updates from applying properly. Whoops.
Thanks.
