MemberPerfect! Thanks for confirming, Dale-Anthony. Let us know if you need anything else or have other issues here.

MemberHey Xpert. Thanks for sharing this. I’m not sure about this, but let me get our dev Jonah to take a look and see if he can offer up any suggestions.

MemberDitto my point in the other thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/upcoming-events-not-showing-up-in-widget-on-pages-archives-and-category/#post-13432).

MemberHey again Marc. Just updated your note on the other thread where you made a similar point; as I noted we do feel bad about being unable to help you, and if a refund is something you feel is appropriate just let me know and I can get that your way. We hate having to resort to that but in this case we weren’t able to help you and so we want to do right.

MemberHi Marc. Thanks for the follow-up and apologies we couldn’t do more here. If the developer has any questions, or has any revelations on things that were incompatible that could be changed (without impacting users running other themes) to make it run smoother on your site, let me know and I can have a developer double check them.

MemberHi Mike. Thanks for the note. Sorry it took me a couple days to get back to you; weekend and all that…
Were you on 1.3 straight, or 1.3.3 (the final 1.x stable release)? If the former, I’d ask that you first update 1.3 to 1.3.3, then 1.3.3 to 2.0 to ensure the smoothest migration possible. We didn’t test against moving from anything before 1.3.3 on the PRO side so I can’t guarantee you’ll have an optimal experience doing so. If you email me (rob at tri.be) I can get you the 1.3.3 code.
From there, upon activating 2.0, your 1.3.3 events should automatically be converted into 2.0 events. Unlike the 1.6.5 (free) to 2.0 jump, this is much less a migration process and doesn’t require any extra steps.

MemberHey Timothy. Just a heads up that this item requires a more advanced dev to respond to; I’ve passed it on, along with the creds you sent, and we should have somebody getting a response ASAP. Apologies for the delay thus far.
Rob
MemberThanks for the note, Gretchen. At this point it’d have to be done using a third-party plugin, since the calendar itself doesn’t have anything built in. But since events are just custom post types, most plugins that tie into regular WordPress posts for sharing (Add This or something similar) should work.
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here. Let me know if you have any other questions.

MemberHey Frank. That’s a good suggestion; I’ve just confirmed the discrepancy between 1.3.3 and 2.0.3 on my end as well. While we can’t fix this in 2.0.3, I’ve added it to the list for 2.1 (which we’re working on now). I’ll see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions on how to manually implement it in the interim – assuming that is possible.

MemberFrank: thanks for the note. I don’t believe so, but let me see if our dev Jonah – who is more knowledgeable about these issues than I am – has any suggestions.

MemberThanks Corey. I’m not aware of a hack but I can get Jonah to take a look. First though, are you sure this isn’t a conflict with another plugin? Have you been able to try deactivating those you’ve got going to see if that fixes the issue?

MemberHey Vincent. I talked this over with Jonah today and he’s a bit stumped as to what could be up; just wanted to confirm that I’ve passed it on to a member of our advanced dev team for review and should have you an answer over the next 24 hours. Apologies for the delay on that front.

MemberHey Greg. Glad to hear you got this resolved; sorry you had to do so before I was able to respond with a follow-up (though I would have suggested exactly what you did). This is helpful to know; while we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to get the plugin working smoothly with everything else out there, it is always helpful to know what our plugin is compatible with and what it’s not as we plan out future releases. Let me know if you need anything else on this or any other points.

MemberHey John. Thesis was one of the themes we tested against during the beta stages, and got it pretty smoothly integrated. That being said there is – depending on the specifics of your install – always a chance that you’ll have to do some customization on your end. We’re happy to help all PRO users with that to the extend we can here in the forums; and if you aren’t satisfied with the finished product, you’re always entitled to a refund if you deem it appropriate.
Let me know if you have any other questions on this.
Rob
MemberHi Kathleen. This is an interesting request; as it stands, it looks like, these are outside the recurrence patterns allowed by the plugin. We are planning on extending how recurrence operates in a future build, though, and I’ve added this to the list of ways it could be extended. Thanks for the tip – and apologies that I couldn’t offer up more here. Until then it seems the best solution would be to “fake it” via a couple separate recurrence patterns simulating one.
