MemberA heads up that Jonah is travelling through Wednesday, so he may not be as active on the forums as he normally would be. Wanted to set expectations accordingly in case you don’t receive a response until then.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear, Yancy. Let us know if it doesn’t.
Henry: thanks man, as always.
Rob
MemberHey Matthew. Thanks for reaching out. Have you checked whether this is a conflict with another plugin? That’s one of the things I’d suggest right off the bat, assuming you’ve already tried all the options suggested in that other thread first:
* It could be a permalinks-related issue. Resave your permalinks page to reset them.
* Make sure you’re running the latest version of the plugin (2.0.5) for both free & PRO — these need to be in sync or it won’t function properly.
* Check that there aren’t any earlier versions of The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO active anywhere on the site. If they’re present, deactivate them.
* Make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress.
* Try to identify whether this is a conflict with another plugin. You can do so easily by deactivating any other plugins you’ve got active and checking whether the issue persists.
* If it isn’t a plugin conflict, it may be a theme one. If after deactivating all other plugins the issue persists, please revert to the default 2011 theme and test whether it’s an issue there.Let me know if not and I’ll do what I can to assist.

MemberHey Troy. Thanks for the follow-up. Just a heads up that as of this afternoon Jonah is going to be out until next Wednesday. He’ll be able to take a look when he returns but I did want to set your expectations accordingly on this.
Apologies for the inconvenience and let me know if you need anything else in the interim.
Rob
MemberThanks Carol. Glad to hear you got this resolved. We’ll close out the thread!
Rob
MemberHey Omni. Thanks for the note; that unregister bug is unfortunately a known problem on the tri.be site that we’re working on right now. You should still be able to disconnect it via the backend of the WP site though – just delete the key from the field and re-save. Does that work for you?
Rob
MemberHey Rob. Thanks for the follow-up. This is the second note we’ve seen regarding the documentation, and we’d certainly like to improve it if it’s not organized correctly. As I’ve mentioned in my email, out of 1500+ orders you’re the first to raise a concern about them.
All the template tag documentation and other filters, etc you’ll need are at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation. The forum here is also a solid resource…and if you ever have a question just ask 🙂 We can usually help get something resolved without you having to waste time trying to find it yourself.
Thanks again for the feedback. If you want to shoot me an email with the aspects you think could be improved (rather than on the forums/comments section), we’ll totally take that into consideration. This site – like anything – is a constant work-in-progress and our ultimate goal is always to improve it to better serve our users.
Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey Kim. Thanks for reaching out. You’re referencing the mini calendar widget, correct? Just want to make sure. If so, you should be able to tweak that by looking in the table-mini.php file that appears in the ‘views’ folder. If you modify it make sure to do a template override (https://theeventscalendar.com/faq/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/) so your changes aren’t lost next time you update.
That help? Let me know if not.

MemberSuperb. Happy to be of service, Amanda. If we can do anything else down the road just let us know.
Rob
MemberThanks Jonah!
Cliff, you all set here? Let us know if you’re still having issues after giving Jonah’s suggestion a go and we’ll do what we can to assist from there.
Rob
MemberAwesome suggestion, Henry.
Wayne: this definitely sounds like the most straightforward route. Want to give it a go and let us know your results? We can’t provide support for those other plugins, but it’d be good to know if you encounter any integration issues on the Events Calendar PRO side. Or, if it works, other users facing a similar issue will find this useful down the road.
Rob
MemberHey folks. There has been a lot mentioned here since I last checked, and all are good ideas that we now have on record. Thanks to everybody. To make note of a few specific items that I saw mentioned…
* More robust RSS feeds have been requested quite a bit so are probably sooner on the radar than some other features.
* Importing will first arrive in the form of a CSV-based importer (currently beta testing for anyone interested), with other methods possibly to follow thereafter. There’s also a Facebook Sync plugin that a user built (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sync-facebook-events/) which should help if you’re looking to integrate more with FB.
* Notifications are going to be a feature of the Community Events add-on (included in 1.0), and I suspect the code could eventually be ported over to the core plugin as well.
* Tons of requests have been coming in for integration with some sort of element that shows all events on a single map. I agree that this would be really cool. Henry, who has posted above, has provided some helpful suggestions on how to hack this yourself in other threads. We used to maintain a geo-tagger plugin that has since been abandoned, but the team and I have all discussed bringing that back to live so it can integrate with the calendar. No promises but I’m going to push to see this happen since I agree in the value.
* The idea of a default start/end time surprisingly hasn’t come up much yet, but that would definitely ease event creation. Thanks for the suggestion Darren.Keep the ideas coming, guys. We appreciate all of you and your suggestions more than we can say, and it’s feedback like this that helps keep the plugin competitive. And keeps us doing it from day to day. Thanks again!
Rob
MemberHey Tom. Thanks for keeping this one alive 🙂 We do have this logged but I would recommend logging it in the feature request thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/). We’re using that as a major basis for determining future releases so votes are definitely worth something there.
Rob
MemberHey Brett. Thanks for your interest in the calendar. We’ve heard reports of certain users working with plugins like WP Touch Pro (though those yielded mixed results), there is no official support for it currently. That being said we are doing some responsive iterations on the events cal views which should accommodate you here when eventually released. We’re still not sure whether they’ll be cooked into the core plugin, or offered as a patch or add-on theme. But that is in the works and by our estimate 1-2 months out.
Hope that helps. If you’ve got any other questions or if I can do anything else, please let me know. You can also check out how it appears on mobile by giving the free The Events Calendar a go (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/), as they’re pretty much the same code – PRO just extends TEC’s functionality.
Rob
MemberHey Derek. Thanks for confirming; since nobody else has been able to recreate this since, do you want to email pro /a/ tri.be with a set of admin credentials? We’re not going to make any changes but want to copy your time zone settings to see if we can identify this as a conflict with something else (or a core issue with the plugin). It’s definitely possible there’s a multisite problem (we haven’t tested this much against it yet). But I’d like to identify that so we can make sure to get it fixed for the next release.
Thanks, and my apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
