MemberHey Diane. Jonah is still looking into this and should be able to get you a response today, but we are unfortunately verging on the point where this is near outside the scope of the support we can provide. Given the credentials Jonah has he’ll be able to take a look and respond today.
It is hard for us to provide support on custom template work, though, so if it does turn out that is the cause we may need to refer you to a freelance developer or someone with the bandwidth to fix the issue specifically. We can certainly provide feedback as to bugs with the plugin itself and light integration issues…but given we’re a small team of freelancers we just aren’t in a position to go much deeper than that.
Let’s see what Jonah says. If it turns out that this is not something we can get you much further on, we can explore options and I can refund your purchase price if you think that’s fair. Let’s not call it quits just yet though.

MemberHey Jesse. Thanks for the note here; not sure about this myself, but I bet our dev Jonah would know. I’ve asked him to take a look when he hits the forums today and chime in here directly either way. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberThanks for the heads up here, Cliff.
Anthony: that help you at all?
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. Yeah…the hide-from-list feature doesn’t impact the grid unfortunately. I can totally get Jonah to take a look and try to point you in the right direction though. He’ll be hitting the forums later this morning and I’ll get him to take a look at that point.
Thanks man!
Rob
MemberInteresting point here, Ulli. Thanks for bringing it up. Not sure the ramifications of this but I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look here when he hits the forums today. Stay tuned.

MemberHey Danny. Thanks for the purchase, and for your words. Happy to help you out here. You should definitely be able to disable the link…in fact, if you deactivate PRO and run just the free The Events Calendar, you’ll see that’s how it actually behaves. It shouldn’t be too hard to get your PRO build matching that free behavior.
But when you say you don’t want this to impact other websites: you’re saying that for this site in a Multisite network, you don’t want the link clickable…however in future sites on the same network, you DO? Just want to confirm before we advise how to best proceed here.
Rob
MemberThanks Fergus. You should remove the patch and go with just the code; note that as Joey mentioned above…the (re)crawling takes time, so the results of what you added based on Joey’s code (or as it may be, the patch in the official codebase if you’re running 2.0.5) would not be taking effect already.
Rob
MemberHi Fred. Thanks for reaching out, and for the words. My apologies that it took a few days to get you a response here.
At this point the PRO code doesn’t change much about how the iCal/Google Calendar buttons work that would be different from how the free The Events Calendar behaves. Automatically pushing new events would require either something be built, or a third-party plugin…basically with the way it’s set up now users would have to manually come click the Google Cal/iCal options to initiate on their end.
Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. If you’ve got other questions, let me know. Cheers!
April 23, 2012 at 7:35 am in reply to: Creating Event in WordPress automatically create corresponding Facebook event #18132Rob
MemberJoe Jordan: the idea of bi-directional syncing is definitely on our radar. I think the value add would be huge. Group support is also a solid idea; while I can’t guarantee that’s anywhere on the immediate horizon, that does seem like a logical next step down that route.
We appreciate the feedback. If you have any more or need anything else down the road, let me know.
Rob
MemberHey Dennis. Generally it should be a pretty simple process. What are you trying to do, specifically? Can you elaborate on the issue and we can try to point you in the right direction from there? Thanks in advance!
April 23, 2012 at 7:32 am in reply to: will the Event Calendar Pro work well with Thesis theme #18130Rob
MemberHey Carolin. Thanks for the interest. It will work with Thesis, but admittedly that is one of the more problematic themes we’ve encountered. If you take a look through the existing Thesis-related discussions (https://theeventscalendar.com/?s=Thesis) you’ll see that some users have had problems integrating.
We’ll do what we can to assist users who are facing problems, and there is a tutorial Matt Hodder put together a while ago about integrating the two (http://www.matthodder.com/events-calendar-pro-for-thesis/) that we’re going to be updating for 2.0 shortly. But I’d try the free The Events Calendar (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/) first to see how it integrates before buying PRO. Since they’re the same code-base, if free works you’ll know PRO should too.
Hope that helps! Let me know if not and I can elaborate.
Rob
MemberHey Carter. For 1.3.3 and all before it, we were hosting the plugin at CodeCanyon…but when we switched over to tri.be we killed the CodeCanyon account and took down any Events Calendar versions that were linked to it. So at this point you’ll have to get the code directly from us…if it was a PRO build. (Old codebases of the free The Events Calendar can be downloaded at WordPress.org).
Which release were you looking for? If you were planning on making the jump to 2.0 at any point, if you were running Events Calendar PRO on the old site it should be 1.3.3 and nothing earlier. I can get you that if you’re interested…email pro /a/ tri.be.
Rob
MemberHey John. Thanks for reaching out, and for your purchase. We appreciate that you’ll be using these plugins (Events + add-ons) to push a project out and can’t wait to see the finished product. We’ll do what we can to help along the way.
1. Community is hopefully on track to be released at the start of May, along with the 2.0.6 code for Events/PRO required to run it. That being said if you wanted to give the current beta a go and don’t mind using rough code…let me know (pro /a/ tri.be). The beta is technically closed but you seem like a good dude with a solid project and I want to let you give it a go.
2. That’s a solid idea. We haven’t yet thought far enough ahead for Community + Eventbrite to integrate (Eventbrite is actually in the final QA stages now and should be out in its 1.0 form this week sometime). I suspect there will be demand for such an integration and if so it’d probably come in the 1.1 or later Eventbrite build. Users may be able to hack something together, too, and our devs will be on-hand here at the forum to try and help there.
We’ve been thinking out an affiliate plan on our end as well, but it’s more based on sales of the plugin than promotions of specific events. But that being said…this is a neat idea. Do you have any examples of services doing something similar? It isn’t something we’ve talked too much about but it’s a discussion I’d like to have. In the short-term having a manual way of connecting it like you suggest would probably be the best route.
Hope that helps. If you’ve got any other questions, let me know. Thanks again for your interest.
Rob
Member^- This is an awesome clue, Cassidy. Thanks for sharing. I would definitely be interested in hearing whether the solution works for any of those on this thread who are still having problems.
Rob
MemberHey Henry. Sorry about the delayed response here, hadn’t seen your initial message. Thanks for the follow-up.
The only way to hide it on the calendar at this point would be to use the multi-day event cutoff, which only works for events up until a certain point. You could probably hide individual events on the frontend with some customization (though I’m not positive and would need Jonah to comment there). Do you think this would be of value to add to the overall code base? Want me to see if Jonah has any other thoughts, too?
