MemberThanks Ben. We have been getting an increasing amount of reports on this so I suspect the fix will be within the next month or so. 2.0.6 is already in a code freeze since it’s releasing the first week of May, but let me see what I can do to get this added into 2.0.7/2.1 (as one of those two is the next release after).
Rob
MemberHey Chad. Thanks for the note here; we have received a few isolated reports of the issue you’re noting but none of us on the team have been able to recreate this. Are you running the latest (2.0.5) of both releases? And have you checked (via deactivation) whether this is a conflict with another plugin or your theme?
On the Gcal front; what exactly are you trying to do here? If you can elaborate I’ll bring a dev in on our end to take a look directly. Thanks!
Rob
MemberWhoa, that’s a lot of code 🙂 Any chance you can drop it into a pastie.org link so we have it formatted properly?
Rob
MemberAwesome to hear that did the trick, Martijn. If you need anything else down the road please do let us know.

MemberHey Carol. Thanks for the note here; is she hitting the “Add to Calendar” option on the broader events calendar, or just an individual entry?
Rob
MemberHeck yeah. Thanks for confirming that did the trick, Carlos.
Rob
MemberHey Yorgos. Thanks for confirming as much. Is this site public to an extent where you could share a link so I could see it in action? If you wanted to do so via email so it wasn’t public here in the forum I’m happy to do it that way.
2.1 is likely our next release after we get 2.0.6 out the door at the start of May.

MemberHey Michelle. Have you checked whether anyone has done it in the Showcase thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/showcase-2-0/), who you may be able to reach out to? Most of the users who have shared their work in that thread are pretty active here on the forums and would likely see any question you asked in the thread there…
Rob
MemberHey Troy. Thanks for the follow-up and my continued apologies for the delay so far.
Unfortunately this issue has reached a point where what you’re asking is outside the scope of what we can support. We’re a small team with limited bandwidth and we definitely are happy to do what we can to assist our users, but for a $50 plugin there are admittedly limitations to what we can do. This issue is compounded by the fact that we aren’t able to recreate this at all and that we’re not communicating with the host directly (which can always lead to increased confusion).
What I can do is refer you the names of a freelancer if you’re interested, who may be able to delve into your system and try to figure this out. But it’s unfortunately not something our team is in a position to do at this time. Feel free to shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) if you’d like to discuss this further or if you have other thoughts on this. My apologies once more for not being able to offer up more.

MemberHi again Laura. Thanks for the note here. At this point pretty much all the loop-related functions can be found right here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/the-events-calendar-template-tags-loop-functions/. There isn’t really a way to get the exact same calendar that appears at /events (the fully-formatted offering with toggles, hovers etc) via template tags exclusively, but you may be able to hack something together. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more on that end.
I believe I’ve addressed the thumbnail point in the other thread so let’s keep the discussion going there on that point.

MemberHey Laura. My guess is the “Featured Image” option is just hidden on the page. You should go to the “Screen Options” link in the upper right-hand corner of the page and make sure the box is checked. Can you do that and let me know if you’re still having issues? Thanks!

MemberHey there CC. Thanks for reaching out. Have you already checked out our documentation at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation ? If I understand your request properly here, what you’re looking for should be detailed there. Let me know if not and I can adjust my response accordingly.
Rob
MemberHey Brian. Thanks for reaching out. Have you opened up list.php from the ‘views’ folder? That controls the list view and should be where you’d make such a change…

MemberHi Laura. I believe I’ve addressed this via our email exchange, but let me know if not 🙂
Rob
MemberThanks for the vote for this, Marty. It’s been one of the most requested features since launching, so we’re now just plotting out how to integrate it best. Stay tuned for more when we know it 🙂
