MemberHi again Terri. I think I understand the issue now, after reading more into it and having a similar discussion with another user. since we just released the 2.0.6 updates to The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO yesterday, you will need to update both in order for the site to function correctly. You cannot be running the plugins out of sync (ie 2.0.5 for one and 2.0.6 for the other) or else you will encounter issues.
For the free The Events Calendar, you should receive a prompt from WordPress.org to update automatically. For Events Calendar PRO, assuming you’ve entered your license key under Settings –> The Events Calendar, you’ll also be prompted to update via the Plugins page. Note that you will not be able to update without adding your license key first, though.
Once you’ve got both plugins consistent and have resaved your permalinks, you should be all set. Want to give it a go? It sounds like ultimately, you’re running 2.0.5 PRO and that needs to be updated. Let me know what I can do to help.

MemberHey Terri. Thanks for the note. Which version of the plugins are you actually running? Do the labels on the plugin list match up, or are they indeed inconsistent?
Rob
MemberHey Louis. Thanks for the heads up, it’s awesome that you’ve got this figured out. Currently the code functionality in the forum is undergoing an overhaul…so until that’s done, would you mind posting your code into pastie.org or a similar service and sharing the link with us? That way other users can benefit from your discovery.

MemberHi there John. Thanks for the note. At this point, you are correct that the Google Calendar button only exists on individual entries. We have a ticket in our projects system to add the Google Calendar button to the main calendar during the 2.1 lifecycle so it is on the radar as well.
Keep in mind that the iCal files work fine in Google Calendar, so even without the button there the functionality itself is. Does that help at all?

MemberHey Robbie! Thanks for the purchase, and for your support. Have you checked out our New User Primer for The Events Calendar? I’d definitely suggest it as a starting point: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-pro-new-user-primer/. It goes through the installation/activation process, but if you still have problems after reviewing that do let me know and I’ll try to assist best I can. Cheers!

MemberThanks Craig. Mainly what I was hoping for was your timezone settings under Settings –> General. A screenshot of that page’s configuration would be awesome!
Rob
MemberWe’ll definitely leave this up for the foreseeable future, Troy. Let us know what else we can do!

MemberJust wanted to follow-up on this one, Roberto, after looking through our projects system and talking with the dev team. It looks like we still do have an open issue related to this that we’re trying to resolve for the 2.1 release – we thought we’d patched it in 2.0.5 but it then returned. It’s a tricky issue, but so far we have confirmed that it is theme-related (and hope to get to the bottom of it as a result).
Just wanted to give you a heads up. Once we make progress on this, we’ll definitely let you guys in this thread know.

MemberThanks for the explanation on this one, Danny – it makes sense and we really appreciate you taking the time to write it out so neatly. Cheers on that end.
Regarding the hover state on “Schedule”, in your menu. If I understand the issue correctly (which I’m not positive I do), it sounds similar to the problem this user was having: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/main-navigation-css/#post-14099. Does that thread shed some light on the issue?
Regarding the breadcrumbs…it sounds like you’ve already tried the deactivation route and can confirm that this isn’t another plugin conflicting. (In the past, SEO-related plugins have been cause for this issue). Do you just want that same breadcrumb structure from the single event carried over to the list, or something more?
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. That makes sense and should be doable – though I’m not sure how myself. We’ve had a lot of discussions with users about how to noindex it but not how to remove it entirely. Let me see what our dev Jonah would suggest on this. I’ll get him to comment directly.

MemberGotcha. Thanks, Jim – I think I understand the issue here, but as this is a bit outside my area of expertise, I’ve asked Jonah from our dev team to take a look and respond directly. Expect to hear from him shortly…and if he isn’t sure I can run it up the flagpole until we’ve got you something substantive here.
Rob
MemberHey again Yorgos. So I jumped into the site this afternoon and was certainly able to see the issue there; while I’d have initially suggested you to check for a conflict with another plugin (since I see there’s a lot going on at that site), based on the notes above & our emails it sounds like you’ve already done so.
While I’m a bit stumped here, I have asked a member of our advanced dev team – far more knowledgeable on such issues than myself – to take a look and respond either later tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned and my apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.

MemberI can see the value there, definitely. This is the first time that has come up but let me see what it’d take to implement. Thanks for the heads up.
Rob
MemberHey Craig, thanks for the follow-up. Your calendar is looking good…except for the fact that the current month (which is supposed to be what you see at /events) is not showing, and we’re instead seeing May 2012. This is why the little strip is over “May 1” – the system seems to think it is May 1st, and so the month is being pulled in as May and the colored strip is appearing on that line accordingly.
Any chance you’d be willing to share your time zone settings, so I can try to recreate?
Rob
MemberExcellent! That’s the best news I’ve heard all day 🙂 Thanks for confirming, Kylie. Let me know if the issue returns or if you need anything else here.
