Terri
ParticipantHi Folks:
My client’s production site is here:
http://few.modernmediajapan.com/
I’m getting this message in pink at the top of my dashboard:“Your version of Events Calendar Pro require version 2.0.5 or higher of The Events Calendar (you are currently running 2.0.6). Visit help for more information.”
When I click help, the link freezes. So I’m heading over here to ask what I need to do next.
thanks!
best,

MemberHey Terri. Thanks for the note. Which version of the plugins are you actually running? Do the labels on the plugin list match up, or are they indeed inconsistent?

MemberHi again Terri. I think I understand the issue now, after reading more into it and having a similar discussion with another user. since we just released the 2.0.6 updates to The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO yesterday, you will need to update both in order for the site to function correctly. You cannot be running the plugins out of sync (ie 2.0.5 for one and 2.0.6 for the other) or else you will encounter issues.
For the free The Events Calendar, you should receive a prompt from WordPress.org to update automatically. For Events Calendar PRO, assuming you’ve entered your license key under Settings –> The Events Calendar, you’ll also be prompted to update via the Plugins page. Note that you will not be able to update without adding your license key first, though.
Once you’ve got both plugins consistent and have resaved your permalinks, you should be all set. Want to give it a go? It sounds like ultimately, you’re running 2.0.5 PRO and that needs to be updated. Let me know what I can do to help.

ParticipantRob, my versions are also out-of-sync, and I’m not receiving automatic prompts from WordPress to update the Pro version. (I’m 2.0.6 on EC and 2.0.4 on Pro.) I also can’t locate the settings page with the license key, which I entered back in the initial installation. Odd. Is there a place to download the Pro installer?

MemberHi Jen. Apologies for the delayed response here, I’m not sure how this one slipped through the cracks but I apologize. Are you still having this issue? If you needed to re-download PRO you could always go to Account Central -> Downloads here on the tri.be site and get a fresh version there…
Let me know if you need anything else from me on this and I’ll get it to you. Thanks for being patient so far.
