MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! The event creation and management tools offered through The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are available only to site administrators, but you can extend that functionality to your site visitors with the Community Events add-on! Depending on the specifics of your project, you might also consider the Community Manager Bundle, which includes Community Events, Community Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and Filter Bar, all at a reduced price compared to purchasing each plugin individually. It’s a great value for projects that hinge on community-directed features and contains almost everything you need to get up and running quickly!
I hope that helps to get you started in the right direction! Let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi there!
Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:
- If you’re using one or more of our free plugins such as The Events Calendar and Event Tickets, you can request assistance on the WordPress.org support forum for the affected product.
- If you’re a current license holder for one of our premium offerings, please log in to your account and submit a post to the appropriate forum for the affected product.
If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! 🙂
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

For your specific issue here, it may be helpful if you’re able to provide a link or a screencap of an affected Facebook post, as well as a link to the event on your site–this way, we’ll be able to see what data is being imported by Facebook and compare it to the event page’s markup.
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

MemberNo worries; you’ve still got some options here. Perhaps adding your categories to a WordPress navigation menu might be a workable option for your setup? You can read more about how to do this on our Knowledgebase over here–no code needed. Take a look, and let me know if you think this might be a good solution for your site!
Thanks! 🙂
July 26, 2016 at 12:08 am in reply to: Can a viewer submit an event into the calendar without being an admin? #1144048Caroline
MemberOf course–you most certainly may ask as many questions as you’d like! We’re here to help! 🙂
- Community Events can be paired with either one of our calendar plugins, The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO, so you’re free to choose the setup that works best for your needs. If you don’t require the added features of PRO like recurring events or shortcodes, you’re free to simply use Community Events with our free version of The Events Calendar.
- Are you interested in creating custom forms for users to fill out when submitting events, or do you have another form-based usage in mind? Let me know if you’re able to clarify a bit here!
- Multiple events on the same day and time are 100% okay–add away!
Thanks, and let me know if there’s anything else I can assist with!

MemberAwesome, glad to hear you’re all set now! And thanks for the checkbox suggestion here, as well–I’ll definitely pass the idea along to our dev team to see what they think! We’d definitely welcome a post about the feature in our feature suggestions forum, as submitting it there will allow us to get more detailed feedback from the user community at large. (It might also be worth checking to see if a similar request already exists there that can be expanded on!)
I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread, but as always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you should have any other questions or concerns. Thanks again! 🙂

MemberHi there!
Thanks for getting in touch! Other than coding a custom solution using the template modification system that’s detailed in our Themer’s Guide, your best bet would likely be to pick up a copy of our Filter Bar add-on! This would allow you to specify what filters you’d like to include on the front end for your users and how you’d like to display them, so your users can search by whatever combination of criteria they’d like without you having to write any complicated logic for search queries. Let me know if you should have any other questions about how this plugin might work with your setup! 🙂
Thank you!
