MemberHi Chris,
This forum is for people asking questions about our premium add-ons. If you’re having trouble with The Events Calendar, you can post in the forum on wordpress.org. Please note that we check that forum once weekly.
If you need more in-depth support, you might consider purchasing a license for Events Calendar PRO. License holders can post in our premium forums which are monitored daily.

MemberI’m glad to hear that will work for you Nickolas!
I’d encourage you to add votes to two of our UserVoice feature request threads – for recurring event ticket support and multiple venues for events. Adding your vote there means you’ll get updates if and when we add those features in a future release.
Thank you for your support!

MemberHi Daniella,
Thanks for your note. Have you downloaded and installed our new core tickets plugin, Event Tickets? Event Tickets Plus is an add-on that requires the core plugin to work.

MemberHi Salah,
Thanks for your purchase! We don’t take on these kinds of development projects ourselves, but we do have a list of folks who might be able to help you out. Hopefully that will help you find someone to work on your new site!

MemberHi Emma,
Thanks for your note. At this time, tickets for recurring events are not something our plugins support. We have noted this on our product pages and also in the plugin itself, and I apologize for any confusion. Support for recurring event tickets is something we have on the radar for a future release.
I’m sorry I can’t provide further assistance here, but the system simply isn’t designed to sell tickets for recurring events.
That said, I do have an idea for a workaround that may help you out. You could make the event a multiday event from Jan 20-22, instead of a recurring event that recurs for 3 days. Then you could make several different types of tickets, called for example “One Day Ticket: Jan. 20”, “One Day Ticket: Jan 21”, “Three Day Ticket: Jan 20-22” etc. All of the tickets would say the full event date (Jan 20-22) at the top, but then the ticket title and/or description would show what day(s) it was for.
Again, I apologize for the trouble here. I hope that my idea will work for you. Thank you for your support and patience while we continue to add new features!

MemberHi Roxanne,
Thanks for your note. One of our recent releases included a much-improved compatibility with WPML. If you’d like to contribute further, you’re welcome to make a pull request on the github repo for The Events Calendar. Our developers will review your work and potentially add it to a future release. We really appreciate your contribution, but we do not giving out free licenses for pull requests.

MemberHi Nickolas,
Thanks for your post. Recurring events can be used to do multiple showings at different times. However, they’re designed around the events being at the same location. If you want to have showings at different venues, it’s probably best to make multiple recurring events for each venue.
When you make a custom recurring pattern, the default is to have all the events at the same time (whatever you’ve set for the main/first event). However if you uncheck the Same Time box, further options will appear which allow you to do a different time. You can continue to define recurrence rules until the various showtimes are accounted for. If you haven’t already, I recommend you read through our article on recurring events for a further walkthrough of the features.
Let me know if you have any further questions that I can help with.

MemberHi OngKar,
Thank you for your interest in our plugins!
Community Events is a plugin that allows visitors to your website to submit events via a form on the frontend of your website. You can then approve and/or edit the submitted events, and post them on your calendar. It’s a nice, easy way to collect events from your users. Events Calendar PRO is not required to use Community Events. You only need our free core plugin, The Events Calendar.
Events Calendar PRO is a separate add-on plugin that adds some special features to the calendar itself. This includes advanced views (Photo View, Week View, etc.), more widgets, default content, recurring events, and additional fields. If you want to extend the functionality of the calendar for you to use on the backend, you want PRO.
If you want to use the Community Events feature and allow visitors to submit recurring events, you’ll want to purchase both Community Events and Events Calendar PRO to get that combined functionality.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi Steve,
Thanks for getting in touch. I’d be happy to help you get this sorted.
Sometimes there can be a delay in the update being available on your WordPress Updates page. I recommend that you first double check the License Keys tab and re-save the license key. Then, head over to the WordPress Updates page. If you’re not seeing Events Calendar PRO listed as an option, try clicking the button that says Check Again. That will prompt the system to re-check, and will hopefully come back with a possible update.
If the above ideas don’t make a difference and you still aren’t seeing an available update, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further. In that case, if you could share your system information with us (by copying and pasting from the Help tab in a private reply) that would be helpful.

December 6, 2015 at 8:47 pm in reply to: How to Transition to the new Tickets vs WooTickets #1036576Leah
MemberHi kerrycarron,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m happy to answer your questions.
With the new tickets included in the Event Calendar I am thinking I no longer need the WooTickets.
I think you’re referring to our new core plugin Event Tickets, which is not part of The Events Calendar plugin. It’s a separate plugin, but like TEC it’s free for you to use! You can download it here. If all you need is to know how many people are attending your events and collect their names and emails, the core tickets plugin will likely cover your needs. However, if you’d like to sell tickets, you’ll want to switch to using Event Tickets Plus instead of WooCommerce Tickets.
Either way, the best thing to do is to let your WooCommerce Tickets license expire. You’ve been automatically granted a license for Event Tickets Plus with the same expiration date. If you want to use the Plus features (like paid tickets), renew that license instead, and follow our instructions for transitioning from WooCommerce Tickets to Event Tickets Plus.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

MemberHi Scott,
There isn’t a way to test out the plugin prior to purchase. However, we are happy to provide full refunds within 30 days of purchase if you are unhappy with the product.
Any of the PRO widgets can be used with shortcodes in a page or post- including the list widget. There isn’t a Photo View widget, but with a little code you can add featured images to the list widget.
Also can you reduce the text by place a snippet in the excerpt for the list view?
I’m not sure I exactly understand what you’re looking for here. You can customize and style the widgets with code. While we can’t walk you through customizations, if you have a PRO license we’ll do our best to get you started on the right track via our premium support forums.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi Hanni,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins! Our free core ticketing plugin, Event Tickets, allows you to collect RSVPs for posts, pages, and events. That means that site visitors can let you know if they are coming to an event, and give you their name and email address. You can then see a list of the people who are planning to attend the event in your WordPress admin.
The premium ticketing add-on, Event Tickets Plus, extends this functionality and allows you to sell tickets for events as well. With ET+, you can sell different kinds of tickets and collect money from the sales. You’ll get attendee reports for each event, and your attendees will receive tickets with scannable QR codes.
I recommend that you click the links above to the product pages for each plugin and look at the screenshots posted there. You can also read through the New User Primer, which will link you to various tutorials for different plugin features.
Let us know if you have any further questions 🙂

MemberHi Colton,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins! That color coding is not a built in feature in The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO. However, there is a free plugin called The Events Calendar Category Colors that you can use to color code your events. I’m pretty sure that’s what the website you linked to is using 🙂

Leah
