Events Calendar Pro vs Community Events

trying to understand the differences between Events Calendar Pro and Community Events, so that I know which product to purchase. From the video I watched on the Community Events Product, it sounded like some of those features might only be available if you also purchase Events Calendar Pro? if there’s any further information you can provide to understand a comparison of the nuances of these 2 products, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your interest in our plugins!

Community Events is a plugin that allows visitors to your website to submit events via a form on the frontend of your website. You can then approve and/or edit the submitted events, and post them on your calendar. It’s a nice, easy way to collect events from your users. Events Calendar PRO is not required to use Community Events. You only need our free core plugin, The Events Calendar.

Events Calendar PRO is a separate add-on plugin that adds some special features to the calendar itself. This includes advanced views (Photo View, Week View, etc.), more widgets, default content, recurring events, and additional fields. If you want to extend the functionality of the calendar for you to use on the backend, you want PRO.

If you want to use the Community Events feature and allow visitors to submit recurring events, you’ll want to purchase both Community Events and Events Calendar PRO to get that combined functionality.
