MemberHi Carla,
Yes and no. There is not yet a built in Category Filter or similar feature. But you can show only the events in one category by making a link to that category in the WordPress Menu Builder. Along with Posts, Events, and other options, you’ll see Event Categories on the left side of the Menu Builder. Here’s an example of what that might look like: http://d.pr/i/MsvM. A link to a category will show the calendar with only those events. Does that answer your question?
Additionally, we are working on an add-on plugin that will allow give users options to filter by various criteria like Event Category, Venue, and Day. We’re still working on that and will likely be releasing it in the next few months.

MemberHi Pop,
Thanks for your note. I will try to answer all the questions.
1. The Venue page will show all the upcoming events for that venue automatically. So as long as you have the venue set the same for those events, they will all show on the Venue page. I do not completely understand what you mean about using CPTs for the Venue page- the Venue page is made automatically and is a CPT, like the events.
2. Events Calendar PRO does do recurring events like in your example. But at this time WooTickets does not work with recurring events. If you are using WooTickets, you can only make a ticket for the first event in the series of recurring events.
3. The Community Events plugin allow users to create events. But only site admins can make tickets on those events with WooTickets.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thank you,

MemberHi JJ,
Yes, we were hoping for a June release. In fact, we were all set to launch on Wednesday but ran into a critical bug. We’re want to launch a product that we’re confident in, and one that we know will integrate smoothly into people’s existing sites. Shipping yesterday would have meant broken widgets for many users, so we are delaying while we fix that and make sure the plugin is totally ready to go. It will still be soon π Thanks for your patience!

MemberHey Dave
We have definitely thought about it, although we don’t have a specific timeline on it. If you’d like to encourage us, please vote for it in our UserVoice Forum.
Thanks!

MemberHi Marlies,
Thanks for your note. At this time, The Events Calendar does not work with shortcodes. However, you may be able to achieve something similar by using a third party plugin which allows widgets in the main page columns. Our Upcoming Events widget would be perfect, if you can get it showing where you want. If you need further assistance, feel free to post in the PRO forum. That’s where we handle support requests for the calendar, while this forum is more for potential customers asking questions π

MemberHi Brad,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. That definitely an interesting idea! Community Events does allow users to create events which admins can confirm and publish. Admins would need to make any WooTickets for those events, however. It may be possible to use the WooCommerce plugin you linked to receive a commission, but it would likely require some customization of the plugin(s), particularly to have events created as Products.
I’m sorry I can’t be more specific, but we can’t really comment on individual integrations unless it’s something we know has been done and worked before. You might want to check in with the folks at WooCommerce and get their take on the idea as well. Beyond that, it’s likely a case of exploring the options in each plugin and accessing your own coding and customizing skills.

MemberHi Will,
I understand how that is frustrating, and I apologize. We’re a small company and while we have a lot of exciting plans, we can only do so much and we prioritize based on what we can do and what people want. The CSV Importer proved to be a bigger project than anticipated, and one that was less in-demand then The Events Calendar 3.0, which we have been focused on recently. When it became clear that bundling the CSV Importer into 3.0 was going to delay the project further, we opted to finish 3.0 before returning to work on the importer.
That being said, I know that importer functionality can be make-or-break for some projects. We do have a beta available, although like all betas it still has some issues and is still very much in-progress. If you’re interested in trying that out, please email us at pro (at) tri.be for more details. Alternatively, if you feel that you need to move to a different solution, I can look into refunding you for your recent renewal.

MemberHi Gina,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in the PRO plugin. There is not a built in way to print the calendar. However, you may be able to change your siteβs template to make it easier, or you can add a custom stylesheet or another plugin to gain that functionality. Here are some resources to get you started:
https://theeventscalendar.com/faqs/does-this-plugin-include-a-stylesheet-for-printing/Recurring events work as identical entries with different dates. So although they will show up on your calendar multiple times, they need to have the same description in order to stay as recurring events. If you change the description on one, it will break it out of the recurrence series as an independent event. If you’d like to post agendas for each meeting, I recommend that you either link to a document with the agenda, or find a third-party plugin that allows some other addition to custom post types that would work with our events. Does that answer your question?
Let me know if I can be of further help.

MemberHi Brad,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our plugins. You can certainly use Eventbrite Tickets and Facebook Events on the same site. However, because of how each plugin functions, they don’t really work together.
The Eventbrite plugin has two main functions. You can import an event from Eventbrite into your WordPress calendar. Or, you can make an event on WordPress and link it to your Eventbrite account. Either way, the tickets display on your WordPress calendar and users can click from there to Eventbrite to purchase.
The Facebook Events plugin allows you to import events from Facebook into The Events Calendar. At this time, you cannot move events from The Events Calendar to Facebook. So as you can see, the plugins function pretty independently, but both bring events in from other places. I suppose that you could import an event from Facebook into The Events Calendar, and then link it from The Events Calendar to Eventbrite. However, that would not mean that the three events were synced up, only that the current information had been imported to the other site. Does that make sense?
I hope the above answers your questions. You might also want to check out the New User Primers for Eventbrite Tickets and Facebook Events. Those include a lot of detail on how the plugins work.
Cheers,
