Hello, I was wondering if you think that this configuration setup would work for user submitted events and take a commission?

I was looking at this plugin for commission on event tickets: Yes, I think this is possible. I think you want this: http://shop.mgates.me/shop/wc-marketing/wc-product-vendor/. Do you think that would work with Modern Tribes WooTickets, Event Calendar Pro, and Community events. Pathway would be that User enters an event, it goes to the calendar and that event is created as a product in woocommerce. That user would essentially be a “Vendor” with a product(event) selling it as a tickwt and you as a website host would receive a commission from the wc-product-vendor plugin. Eh?

Hi Brad,

Thanks for your interest in our plugins. That definitely an interesting idea! Community Events does allow users to create events which admins can confirm and publish. Admins would need to make any WooTickets for those events, however. It may be possible to use the WooCommerce plugin you linked to receive a commission, but it would likely require some customization of the plugin(s), particularly to have events created as Products.

I’m sorry I can’t be more specific, but we can’t really comment on individual integrations unless it’s something we know has been done and worked before. You might want to check in with the folks at WooCommerce and get their take on the idea as well. Beyond that, it’s likely a case of exploring the options in each plugin and accessing your own coding and customizing skills.
