Will Events Calendar Pro allow me to easily insert a category specific calendar into one of my pages? Basically I need to display 3 calendars on 3 different pages 1 calendar for all events, 1 calendar for category A, and 1 calendar for category B. Each page needs to have it’s own content at the top before the calendar.

Do I need the pro version to achieve this?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch. It is possible to have different categories show on different pages by using category-specific links in your site menu. You can do that with or without PRO. However, it is not possible (in either plugin) to show different content at the top of each, as it is technically the same page. It may be possible to achieve this with some customizing or a third party plugin.

I recommend that you download our free plugin, The Events Calendar, and do a bit of experimenting with that. The Events Calendar has the same category functions as I described above, so you play with it and test customizations with no risk. You would only want to add PRO if you wanted some of the other PRO-only features.

    Does that answer your question?

    Best,

An alternative solution is to display your “context-sensitive” calendar into the sidebar. You can use dynamic menu plugins to achieve that such as woo sidebar

    WooSidebars

Basically it allows you to create different sidebars for different pages. you can then configure the calendar widget’s category in the different sidebars
