Thanks for your post, and my apologies for the delayed response. I myself am not sure what a good custom_post plugin would be for your purposes, but I’m going to pass this along to a co-worker who might be able to point in the right direction.
I did want to ask though- have you considered using our Additional Fields feature for adding the DJs to your events? Or was there a specific reason you wanted to go with a custom_post plugin instead?

Thanks you for posting in the forum, and my apologies for the delayed response. I searched the forums for anyone else using the Foundation theme and wasn’t able to find anything, unfortunately. Have you tried getting in touch with the theme’s developer? Often that is a good step for this kind of issue. You also might want to try using the un-customized Foundation theme, since that could help you narrow the problem down to the changes.
We do our best to make our plugins as compatible as possible with themes. That being said, if Foundation’s developer comes back to you and says the issue is on our side, we’d be happy to look into it further. And if the dev is not able to shed any light on the problem, we might be able to help you troubleshoot if we can get a bit more information 🙂

Thanks for posting in the forums. Am I correct that you updated from version 2.0.11 to the 3.x build? With Events Calendar PRO 3.0 and above, clicking the dates in the calendar widget does not take you to that day’s events. Instead, clicking the day will display a list of events under the widget, and users can click from there to go to individual event pages.
Since no events are showing up under the calendar right now, I’m wondering whether you have the Setting set to show zero. That is controlled on the widget page. You’ll definitely want to check that. If it is set to zero, you can change that so some events will show. If it’s already set above zero, there might be a different issue at hand, and we’ll want to look into that further.
Since we had a number of folks who were disappointed in the widgets new behavior, we are considering making a setting so people can choose, or developing a tutorial for those who want to change it back to the 2.x behavior. If you’d like to encourage us, please vote for that thread in our UserVoice forum.

I’m sorry to hear that the update process has been so bumpy for you! I really appreciate that you checked your license key and tried manually updating the plugin. When you downloaded the latest version and uploaded it, did you first deactivate and delete the old version of PRO? That’s usually necessary since they share a folder name. You shouldn’t lose data doing this, but even so it’s best to do a database backup first.
Also, I wanted to double check- are you installing PRO on the multisite’s main network site, or a sub-site? Multisites can definitely complicate things 🙂 But hopefully we’ll get you all squared away and up to date ASAP. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

I’m really sorry to hear the update process has been so problematic for you! I hope that you had a backup of your database?
Just to clarify- are you getting the hanging update when you try to automatically update? Have you tried updating manually (by reinstalling the plugins instead of via the Plugins page links)? And also, can you confirm what versions of the plugins you were on previously?

That’s a pretty cool idea, and I really like your mock-up. Our Filters Bar plugin will allow you to filter the calendar itself, but it will not effect the widget. Adding filters to the widget would take a great deal of customization, so it’s really outside our support capabilities. However, I’d be happy to give you a list of developers who might be able to help you out.
