ParticipantSo I know this shouldn’t be that hard, but I haven’t been able to hack anything together yet…
The website I’m working on almost exclusively has recurring events (classes) so I’d like to simply display a list of all events. A class guide so to speak. The pages are there and I can get it to display just the title with a link, but it will only show upcoming events, not all events sorted by name.October 3, 2013 at 5:23 pm #69144Leah

ParticipantThanks for your response. I’m definitely not savvy enough to write this myself either.. ๐ I tried looking through the different functions but wasn’t able to figure out how to do what I wanted.
Was thinking about it a bit more and I thought that maybe it’d be nicest and easiest to just get a list of all the events of a specific category and list them alphabetically. That way you could differentiate classes from say regular events.
Again thanks!

MemberHi silverrage,
If you take a look at this snippet you can see an example of a custom event query restricted to a particular term (category).
In this case it is indeed retrieving only those events in the specified category that are upcoming – which isn’t what you want – but you could change it to custom and set a date range using start_date and end_date properties.
Hopefully that gives you a starting point ๐
Thanks!
