ParticipantWe’ve started a new area for translation related threads and there’s a similar post over there (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/week-lacks-translations-2/). I’m going to close this thread at this point. If you have any further questions regarding this or any translation issues, I’ll ask you to post them in that area for better service.
Thanks for your understanding.

ParticipantHi Jonathan,
The Events Calendar does include a widget that displays both a mini-calendar and some upcoming events. You can see an example here http://d.pr/i/jKaE. You can set how many events you want to display too. It is a feature of our Events Calendar PRO plugin, so you’ll need the premium version to get that functionality. If you wanted just the list of upcoming events without the mini-calendar, it would require a bit of customization of the plugin to do that.
Is that going to work for you?

ParticipantHello Brendan,
I’m not spotting the conversation you had earlier with Barry, but if I understand what you are asking I do think you’ll need the PRO version. It’s what is going to give you the frontend venue pages. And the permalink structure is as you mentioned. You can see an example over at http://wpshindig.com/venue/ppa-event-center/.
So, bottom line, your “Venues Page” would be a customization, but the actual individual venue pages would be included in the PRO version.
Let me know if you have any additional questions, or if I’ve misunderstood.

ParticipantHey vinuac,
Have you seen our Facebook Events Primer? https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/facebook-importer-new-user-primer/ I realize that there is audio that is part of the video, but the instructions are also given in text below and I would think the video would provide a good overview of the process as you can see the screen.
Give that a try and if I can give you any additional assistance, please let me know!

ParticipantHi asaya and viwedis,
Can you please verify that you have upgraded to 3.2 and then provide a link so I can see what’s going on? I’m not having troubles here, so I’m not sure what we’re looking at.

ParticipantHi vinuac,
I’m a little confused here. You say “like the plugin to a page” I’m not exactly sure what you mean. If you install The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO plugin you should have a page generated automatically for you, which in your case would be http://www.deafcanada.ca/events/. The Facebook Importer add-on will import events from Facebook into that calendar. (If you’ve not yet installed that try The Events Calendar to begin with as it’s free. http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/)
And if I’ve totally misunderstood the problem, please forgive me and help me get on track so I can assist you.

ParticipantHi joinfof,
I’m a little confused here. You say “when I visit my events” – does that mean in the admin dashboard? You have nine events listed there? And I’m not understanding what you mean when you say “pending events”. Do you mean “drafts” or “pending review” status? Or upcoming events (in the future)? If by chance you mean “drafts” or “pending review”, they would not be displayed on the calendar on the front end. Only “published” events show up there.
So my first thought is, do you by chance have your Facebook settings set to import into “draft” or “pending review” as the default? Maybe check that.
And if I’ve totally misunderstood the problem, please forgive me and help me get on track so I can assist you.

ParticipantHi joinfof,
Glad to hear it’s working for you!
Since it sounds like you’ve solved this one, I’m going to close this thread. If you need anything else, feel free to start a new one.

ParticipantHi Danielle,
It sounds like your default view may have gotten reset in the upgrade. If you go to Events > Settings > Display about halfway down there’s a field called “Default view”.
Is it set to Month? Does setting it to Day make your calendar display the way you’d like?Let me know if any of that helped or you need some further assistance.

ParticipantHello again joinfof,
Not 100% sure I’m understanding the question, but there’s the /the-events-calendar/views/default-template.php or possibly the /the-events-calendar/views/month/content.php files that could be what you’re looking for.
With regard to your sidebar and calendar overlapping, I think there was a user with a similar issue over here https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/width-issuelinks-after-update/#post-71392 You might want to check out the CSS code that was suggested and see if it does the trick for you too.
Let me know if any of that helped or you need some further assistance.

ParticipantHi joinfof,
Sorry for the troubles with the time zones. I have heard of things like this before. It may not be something our plugin controls, but other users have found that choosing a city or country rather than a UTC timezone seems to help.
Can you give it a try and let me know if that’s any better?

Participantjaywhack,
Your events should be safe in the database and not affected by deleting the plugin and re-installing it. However, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you BACKUP your site before doing this. Always a good idea. Heck, just backup for fun. But always before trying something of this nature. There are lots of good backup plugins and services out there.

ParticipantHello Alexandru,
Thanks for considering Events Calendar PRO! The simple answer to your question is YES. It’s considered a custom recurrence, but it’s there.
If there’s anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
