Facebook Events v3.2 Update

Hi,

How do I update from Version 3.1 to version 3.2 on WordPress.

When I try to install the new Facebook version it tells me that there is already a version of the folder …”wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-facebook-importer”.

Hi jaywhack,

Oh bother, sorry you are having troubles updating. Can you tell me what you were doing when you got that message? Did you try to use the autoupdate feature in the Plugin area of the Dashboard?

Once you’ve tried that another option would be to rename the current folder for the plugin and then install the update manually.

I was trying to update the Facebook Events from version 3.1 to 3.2. When I tried it gave me the message I stated earlier. I don’t see an auto update option for the Facebook plugin. If I delete the 3.1 version of the program from my FTP server will it remove all my Facebook events that I’ve all ready imported?

Your events should be safe in the database and not affected by deleting the plugin and re-installing it. However, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you BACKUP your site before doing this. Always a good idea. Heck, just backup for fun. But always before trying something of this nature. There are lots of good backup plugins and services out there.
