ParticipantHey everyone,
Thanks so much for all your questions, but this thread is getting a little unwieldy and confusing. Can I ask that when you have questions you start your own thread? Honestly, I’m not even sure who to reply to here.
Since Rebecca started the thread, let’s go with her.
There is one possibility for displaying store hours, but it would be tied to events. Our PRO plugin does allow for Custom Event Attributes where you could add a text field to display hours such as http://d.pr/i/x6VF. But it doesn’t help with the searching that you are looking for and it’s tied to events, not venues. That’s not something our plugin is designed to do. And you are right that adding that as metadata for the venue would be custom development and so I can’t speak to what searching would be like in that environment.
Sorry I can’t give you a more concrete answer, but since what you are looking for is going to require customization, perhaps your questions are better asked of the developer that would be doing the work.

ParticipantSorry for the misunderstanding Miriam. You might be able to find the information you need over at our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) or in our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/). What you are trying to do would be considered customization and that’s not something I can help you with. It’s not something the plugin can do out of the box.

ParticipantHey fred,
What a neat idea! But no, that’s not something currently built into either the Facebook Events add-on or the Community Events add-on. If you’d like to suggest it as a feature, you can check out our Feature Idea page (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas) and either vote on it or add it to the list.
Sorry we’re not able to help you with this at the moment though.

ParticipantHey naton,
Sorry for the misunderstanding. We didn’t mean to mislead you in any way. Can you point to any place that made mention of the plugin working with Groups so we can get that fixed?
It is a feature that has been requested before, and if you’d like to add your vote to our Feature Idea site it would be appreciated (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3811901-add-personal-user-id-groups-to-fetch-public-events). That gets it on the radar for development. It may have been something that Facebook changed in the API that we are not currently taking advantage of.

ParticipantHey joinfof,
Slow sites are no fun. So let’s see what we can track down. First, have you tried deactivating first the Facebook Events plugin, then the Events Calendar PRO plugin, then The Events Calendar plugin in? Does it get better at any point along the way there? Also how many events do you have in total? What percent, if any, are recurring events? And can you send me the information found the in black box under Events > Settings > Help?
Let’s start with that and let me know how it goes.

ParticipantHey ironandsteel,
Thanks for that update. I’m going to pass your info on to the devs for their information. Really do appreciate it.

Participantviwedis,
Can you provide me with a link to an event you are trying to import so I can attempt to duplicate it here?

ParticipantHi bmcofnc,
Well I did that backwards. I commented on your other question first. But I did notice that you got the page switched over so – nicely done!

ParticipantHi bmcofnc,
OK, I was able to import to my set up and have it display the appropriate time (it’s 12:30 CST for me). So It’s something with your set up I’m thinking. Have you changed the timezone in the WordPress Settings > General? If so, did you select a UTC time? We’ve had some wonkiness with those, so I’ll suggest that you pick a city instead. New York should work.
Can you confirm that those settings are correct before we dig deeper?

ParticipantThanks for the link Brendan. Sounds like you’re good for now. If you have any further questions, they’re probably better asked in the Events Calendar PRO forum, once you’ve purchased the plugin of course.
Happy coding!

ParticipantHey Rebecca,
Yes, you can search by venue or location. I’m not sure exactly what meta info you are interested in, but you can give it a try over at http://wpshindig.com/events/ and see if does what you are looking for.
Let me know how it goes.
