MemberHi Vulgurbulgar, we can’t make anything 100% responsive, but I’ve heard that Brandon at Epic Era’s (http://themeforest.net/user/epicera/portfolio) has good themes. While not always 100%, those themes are responsive and the plugin tends to work pretty well straight out of the box with them.

MemberHi Grant, just so you know this is logged in our system and hopefully will be fixed in an August release!

MemberHello Sandro, what version of WordPress, our plugin and our add-ons are you using right now? Are they all at their latest versions?
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Ngaire, glad you found something similar! You can contact the site owner to see if they might be able to help. Just a suggestion, not sure if they’d be available or willing.

MemberHi David, yes, the recurring events feature basically re-creates many versions of the same event. It would be like duplicating a blog post over and over again. So there would be a new event created for each new date that it repeats on, and that would show up in your calendar view.
Joyce Grace
MemberAh, that helps 🙂
If you need support for the free version, the best way is to post your question on our open source forum at the wordpress.org site and someone can help you there. Here is the link: http://wordpress.org/tags/the-events-calendar?forum_id=10
The following pages give more information on the features of the Pro plugin, should you be interested in upgrading:
https://theeventscalendar.com/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs/Pro does have a drop down to select events by month, in the grid view.
The Events Category is it’s own set of categories, not necessarily part of the blog post categories.
I hope this helps you! You are currently in the pre-sales forum, which is where people ask question about purchasing the PRO plugin. So there is not much we can do on the technical side to help you with the free plugin here, sorry!

MemberHello Alan,
As it stands, the multisite licensing is still in the works so realistically you should be fine using a single license on your network – but if you email pro at tri.be, we can give you details about that and how it’ll function upon release.
Basically the sub-calendar will work fine on an MU install, but we’re unfortunately not yet at a stage where all of those can aggregate on the higher top-level category.

MemberHi again Todd, I forgot to mention, please try all the steps I outlined in the first response to your post before moving on to the forum post that I directed you to. The reason being that the forum post I linked to was started a while ago and we’ve made updates since then that might make the posed solutions irrelevant to you.
Also, we will be releasing a new version of our plugin soon, perhaps with the week or so. It will be good to try to update when it comes out to see if your problem gets solved.
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Todd, I found this forum post and it might be the same issue that you are having. Could you have a look and see if any of the posed solutions work for you? If this is the same thing that is happening to you please also let me know.

MemberHello Todd!
Thanks for posting here and reaching out.
To get us started, can you help me by trying all of the following steps to ensure we’ve ruled out the most common causes for problems like this? This will help us a lot in figuring out why this happens for you.
1. Are you running the latest version of WordPress?
2. Are you running the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.7)?
3. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to rule out a conflict?
4. Have you tried reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if it’s something with your theme?
5. Try setting your permalinks to ‘postname’ in Settings > Permalinks?
6. Try refreshing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks (it does it automatically)?
7. Try increasing the PHP memory for your website: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/?In the mean time I will also try to see if there are other posts about this by other users and if a solution was ever found.
Thanks!

MemberHello Sandro,
While I personally don’t have the technical ability to help you with all of your questions, I will get us started by leading you to our Themer’s Guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
You mentioned you can’t update – this is going to pose problems for you in the future. Could you please try to set up your files in your theme folder, to protect it from future updates?
There are videos on how to do this with the Genesis theme framework, although the principle is the same with other themes: https://theeventscalendar.com/tutorial-integrating-the-events-calendar-w-genesis/
The reason you will want to do this is that we can really only support the plugin when we know it is at its latest version, with the latest version of WordPress, and working well on the Twenty Eleven theme.
So while we can certainly try to help you out with what you’re asking now, in the future you will reach a lot of road blocks.
If we can start with that, in the mean time I can get someone on board to help you with the other parts of your questions.
For issue #1, you would need a way to separate the type of event categories the grid views are pulling.
Can you please link to your site so we can better understand what is happening with it?
Thanks!
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Ngaire,
Unfortunately, our calendar doesn’t do this “out of the box” or with any settings in the WordPress dashboard.
However, this is something you could probably do by customizing the calendar list view. Our Themer’s Guide would be a good place to start: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
We also have documentation here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation
But it seems like the format of this calendar you’ve shown me is different from ours. Do you know if they are using our plugin or a similar one?
You might also want to checkout the showcase thread to see if anyone else has managed to do this: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/showcase-2-0/ and you might get some insight there.
Thanks for posting!
