MemberHi L,
This is very strange. I can get higher level support involved, but first we need to rule out all the most common possibilities of things that cause these errors.
Can you confirm with me you’ve done all the following (in addition to making sure and confirming with me you’ve set up your time zones to be the same in both WordPress and in Google calendar), and that doing all of these has not fixed your issue?
1. Are you running the latest version of WordPress?
2. Are you running the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.7)?
3. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to rule out a conflict?
4. Have you tried reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if it’s something with your theme?
5. Try setting your permalinks to ‘postname’ in Settings > Permalinks?
6. Try refreshing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks (it does it automatically)?
7. Try increasing the PHP memory for your website: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/?I will also have a look around to see if other users have had this problem, and if a solution has been posted already.
Thanks!
Joyce

MemberHi Jason,
That is a very unusual scenario to me. Events in the events calendar are actually posts, the same as WordPress blog posts, but they are of a separate “type” (they use WordPress Custom Post Types). So in order for that to change, I would think WordPress would need to change the way its posts are handled, and I highly doubt WordPress would allow editing of a post in an e-mail, in this context. It would not be the most secure thing to have set up. So unfortunately for now you’ll always need to be logged in to approve and publish an event.July 10, 2012 at 12:29 am in reply to: Events Calendar PRO: bug when using categories and question to dev team #21857Joyce Grace
MemberHi Sandro, I am not getting your messages via e-mail anymore, however I have logged this issue of your posts not showing up as a bug in our system – it is very strange. Jonah will help you from here on, thanks!

MemberHello L,
Have you set up your time zone in both WordPress and Google calendar to be on the same time zone?
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Jason, you click “update” in WordPress, or in the e-mail you get? You will definitely need to be logged in to WordPress to make any changes to an event, including to “Publish” it, or “Update” it.
What I’m not sure of is where you’re clicking on “update” and expecting it to be published. Can you clarify?

MemberHello Jason,
So you’re saying this happens to you even when running the Twenty Eleven theme and no other plugins?
This is very interesting, I am going to look into it for you and hopefully have an answer soon! Thanks for your patience!

MemberHello Oliver, you should always be up to date with the latest version of WordPress. It creates a security vulnerability if you are not, and of course, it can cause things to break. It would be like never changing the oil in your car.
First you can create a backup just in case, so you can revert to an old version of your site if something does happen during update. Then work out the issues of the update in another place, and when they are worked out, you can then make the fully updated site live.
I would also recommend subscribing to VaultPress, which would be an easy one-click restore for you.
We can only support the latest versions of all our plugins and add-ons, running on the latest version of WordPress and on the Twenty Eleven theme.
I hope this helps!

MemberHi Susan, are you running the latest version of our plugins and all our add-ons, and using the latest version of WordPress? Also, have you set up your time zone in WordPress General settings?

MemberHello John,
We can’t guarantee when, but I can say we release new versions at the beginning of every month, and I do know this is something we are very aware of on the development side. Sometimes there is just not enough bandwidth or man power to address everything, and we try to fix the most urgent cases as a priority. If this is something you need very very soon, and if it is not fixed in the upcoming July release, I would suggest that maybe there is a developer out there who can help you make modifications? I’m sure if you ask around you’ll find someone suitable.
Sorry I can’t offer you more! 🙁

MemberHello Vivek,
Did you make any modifications to your calendar to get the title to appear? If so, can you please name, step by step, what you did to modify the files? Thanks!
Joyce Grace
MemberThanks Christopher, we’ll try!

MemberHello Furqan (thanks Andy!)
I am also getting a 404 error. Can you help us locate the correct URL to your calendar?
Can you also tell me what type of file you tried to export and import?
Also, do please understand the importer is still in Beta, so it is likely there are going to be bugs with it. That being said, we do appreciate you testing it out for us!

MemberHello Tony,
I see you tried to leave a message here that is not appearing:

Hey Joyce. I’ve already been on the documentation site and have created my templates by copying the files from the plugin to my own custom theme. The problem I’m running into is that I’ve been able to remove the sidebar from the Events calendar and single event views, but I cannot find where I can remove the code snippet on the community events. The problem is that we use Dynamic Widgets plugin for all the other pages. It recognizes your custom post types but it will not include/exclude widgets on the page. So knowing that we decided that for this section alone we will just remove the sidebar all together. So I’m all asking is… “in what template for the Events Community can I use remove the sidebar. I haven’t found it yet and I’m still digging around for the file.” The link to our site is http://www.evolvhealth.com/events
—On that note, I am going to try to see if I can get someone to help you who might know better than I do.
Sorry for the delay!

MemberHello Rob, I would say that you definitely need to try updating WordPress. You should do that before you try updating plugins. See this post by WordPress expert Joost De Valk: http://yoast.com/upgrade-wordpress/
If you really are afraid, I would make a backup of your site first (you should be doing that anyway, have you tried subscribing to VaultPress.com or Backup Buddy by iThemes?).
The version of WordPress you’re on shouldn’t make changes to your theme. It is your Theme that needs to stay up to date with WordPress. Have you created a child theme folder to protect your theme from future updates? Please try that as well.
Let me know if this still happens when you update WordPress.
