MemberHi Max, is your calendar not currently displaying the event name? It should. Can you link to your site and be a bit more specific about what you’re trying to achieve?

MemberThanks so much Andy for your input on this. I will ask the team to have a look since this goes a little outside my technical ability. Sorry for the wait L!

MemberHi Kathryn!
We don’t normally support customization however I can say you will probably find a way to do this by looking at our documentation pages: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation as well as our Themer’s guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
But in all honesty, you might have a much easier time by simply putting this link in the description area of your event.
In the near future we should have the html issue fixed with the “Additional fields” and it will be a lot easier at that point to have a purchase link.
Hope this helps!

MemberI see, glad you figured it out!

MemberHi Tony,
Others are mentioning that it’s the /list that doesn’t show anything for them. Does yours show anything? When you say you’ve tried all the suggestions, can you help us rule out exactly what you’ve tried? For example, I see you’ve tried updating to the latest versions of our plugins and reset your permalinks. Have you done anything else on the following list?
– Upgrade to the latest version of WordPress
– Try to identify whether this is a conflict with another plugin. You can do so easily by deactivating any other plugins you’ve got active and checking whether the issue persists.
– If it isn’t a plugin conflict, it may be a theme one. If after deactivating all other plugins the issue persists, please revert to the default 2011 theme and test whether it’s an issue there.
– Switch to a different templating option under Settings –> The Events Calendar, using the dropdown.
– Try increasing the PHP memory for your website: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/Knowing that you’ve done all of these specifically will help us a lot, because it will rule out the most common causes for these types of errors, and we can really begin to pinpoint things. You may also make discoveries along the way that will help us identify the problem for you.
Thanks!

MemberHi Jason, I have discovered there was a similar problem to this logged a while ago, and Jonah, one of our support reps was able to fix it in the following way. He says,
“This appears to be permission related because I installed the Members (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/) plugin and modified the Subscriber role to the following: http://cl.ly/2v2H300C0i39473W0C3r – and was able to save categories for a subscriber.”
Can you try this and see if it fixes the issue for you? If so, please let me know the result as it will help us troubleshoot the bug more accurately.
Thanks!

MemberHello Jason,
Yes you can, but you’d have to do them individually. The Facebook Events add-on works by grabbing Event IDs from the Facebook Events app. Right now in a group, Events are added using the Events App and then are attached to a group. So the group itself doesn’t own any events. But you can always import individual events that have been posted to the group’s “Events” page and import them one by one into The Events Calendar. It’s really easy and super fast. It would only get tedious if you had hundreds of events to import.
Hope this helps!

MemberThanks a lot Michael! We hope to have this fixed in the near future, hopefully in August’s release. Sorry about all the trouble 🙁

MemberOh Carter, I forgot to ask, did you try “Default Events Template” to see if that worked for you?
Joyce Grace
MemberHello Carter,
It sounds like you’ve created your own “No Sidebars” template, is that correct? Or did that come with your theme? At any rate, you’ll want to check out our Themer’s Guide to the Events Calendar for more clues on customizing your theme. We don’t normally support customization but if you try something there and if it is really not working I can try to see if I can get someone to help you out. Here is the link: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Our technical documentation might also be handy for you: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation
Hope this helps at least lead you in the right direction!

MemberHello Henry,
You might want to try the Eventbrite add-on to allow people to register and perhaps set a limit there. Otherwise this type of feature would require some custom programming. If you’re familiar with it, you can check out our documentation pages here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation or our Themer’s guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/I hope this helps!

MemberHI Jason, I see this is happening only for “anonymous” submissions. I am going to make sure it is logged as a bug in our system and will get back to you if I have any updates or temporary solutions for now. Sorry about the trouble!

MemberHello L, I have searched the forums and the closest thing to your problem that I could find was this one: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ical-google-calendar-timezone-is-gmt/#post-19458 which was fixed by correcting the time zone settings. The other Google calendar issues were related to an error and also to not being up to date with the latest versions of all plugins and add-ons of ours.
Hopefully we’ll get this solved for you! Just thought I’d give you that insight!
