ParticipantHey twkmedia,
Sorry about that, based on the initial thread it seemed like the results of my tests were different than what you were describing. As a test, are you able to export the file and try to import the file directly rather than using a feed link? When I tried to import the error was an access type error for those Outlook feeds so our system was never able to do anything with those links.
Thanks1
Josh
ParticipantHey Tim,
Thanks for following up. To be honest I’m really not sure what could/would be happening here. Since this is something that is happening independent of our plugin and prior to any import I am limited in the amount of support that I am able to provide here. You can check out something like https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/885e8f7e-bb69-462c-b242-d6553fc8c026/csv-file-with-junk-characters-on-currency-symbol to see if this provides any insight into this one for you.
Let me know if this helps.

ParticipantHey Shannon,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just took a look at your site and noticed a couple of things that are going on here. It looks like your calendar view is defaulting to the mobile layout and that there are several javascript errors. As an initial step, have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to help determine the source of the javascript conflicts?
Let me know if this turns anything up.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Frank,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange and annoying issue to be having. Hopefully we can help to get this sorted out for you quickly.
The most likely cause here is a conflict with an existing plugin or theme that is causing the white screen. A couple of notes here.
- To work, both the core Events Calendar and PRO versions will need to be activated.
- Try disabling existing plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme
- Then add both the core and PRO versions of the plugin.
- Finally, reactivate each plugin one by one until you’re able to recreate the white screen.
Let me know if this helps to reveal more information about this conflict.
Thanks!

Strange on your site. It looks like the ajax load of that first link works fine. Go to the month view and click the next month links until you get to “/2015-12” and you’ll see that the page loads. If you then reload the page you get a 404.
I tested this on my local install and wasn’t able to replicate. As an initial step, have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict at play currently?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Tim,
Thanks for emailing that file over!
I looked at it and both the US Dollar and the Pound symbols are showing nicely however the file does have an issue with displaying the Euro and does subsequently impact the import. The others imported fine.
A couple of things if you’re still facing issues:
- I don’t believe you can overwrite the existing currency setting by re-importing over an existing event.
- There still appear to be extra columns within the file which causes a bit of confusion with multiple “CURRENCY CODE” options available within the dropdown for import. It’s possible for some that aren’t importing that an empty column is getting selected for import.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Jeremy,
We ask that you open a new thread for this issue. It sounds a bit different from what was originally reported here. This way we can answer every users questions directly.
Thanks
Josh
ParticipantHey Anna,
Thanks! This looks like the correct file. Due to the size I’ll need to reconfigure some things to test it. Will follow up with you today.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Niko,
That’s definitely understandable. We don’t have a list of those functions explicitly listed out anywhere, however you can search for them under the “functions” section of our site within the Technical Docs.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Nikolaus,
In this case, where it sounds like the time of the event doesn’t matter, would it be useful to just set these events as All Day events when creating the event?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Brian,
Thanks for following up.
A next step would be to turn debugging on https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG (please set both “WP_DEBUG” and “WP_DEBUG_LOG” to true). You can then try to reactive the PRO version of the plugin.
This should record whatever conflict is occurring into a log file within your “wp-content” folder when the plugin is activated and will give us more information about what may be happening on the site.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Nikolaus,
Since this is very similar to our other thread, I’ll close this one and continue the conversation on that thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Kris,
Thanks for reaching out to us! The link you’ve provided is actually for the export of the .ics file from our plugin and importing it into Outlook. Rather than importing from Outlook into The Events Calendar.
However, would you mind opening a new thread? There are many different causes for different issues and opening a new thread ensures that we’re able to address every customer directly and completely without having to juggle different problems within the same thread.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey twkmedia,
Sorry for the delayed response. I’ve tested the links you’ve provided and ended up seeing almost the opposite of what you’ve described:
- Google Calendar feed seemed to import as expected. The feed link above found and imported over 30 events. Did you ensure that all of the “Refine Results” section was empty when attempting to import?
- I was unable to get any of the Outlook feeds to work. Do these happen to be private feeds?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Lara,
No problem at all 🙂
