BlockedHey Sorin,
Thanks for the follow up! If you add that function or recreate the meta box template with a child theme, you shouldn’t have to worry about losing it when your theme updates.
Feel free to open up a new forum thread if you have any other questions.

BlockedHi Brent,
That’s a great question. Because every theme is different, you’ll want to place your community events in the menu your theme has provided so that your users have access to them.
If you navigate to Events > Settings > Community, you’ll see two links under the “Community rewrite slug” section.
Copy those links and create a menu link for each of them in your menu system:
Appearance > Menus > Custom Links
Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.
Kind Regards,

BlockedHi Molly,
Great idea to use a child theme. This is definitely the way to go if you’re planning on making customizations like this!
So I went and tested the function on my own child theme installation and it worked like a charm:
Can you try this on a default theme like Twenty Twelve? Here’s a child theme I’ve put together for that theme if you’d like to test it out there:
I wonder if there may be a conflict in your current theme and switching to a default theme will help us determine that.

BlockedThanks for clarifying that! I understand now where you’re seeing the overlap. It seems that the Table cannot get any smaller in this particular case so it’s going to overlap. You can try using CSS to customize the calendar table elements so that it fits into a mobile sized space though. For example, lowering the padding of the days and font size.
You can add custom CSS to your theme’s stylesheet or through a plugin such as Simple Custom CSS.
I hope that helps get things going in the right direction.

BlockedHey Chris,
I’m seeing on your individual events that the ticket price is being displayed differently at the top of the event compared to the ticket price in the form at the bottom. Can you let me know which price is correct?

BlockedWoo hoo! Great to hear! Now let’s roll up our sleeves to get the comments up and running.
So Jetpack Comments uses the function comment_form to display comments. This function is usually in your themes comments.php file but sometimes theme authors use a different method to display comments forms.
If this is the case, the fix isn’t going to be as simple as how we got those social icons working.
You’ll want to start by checking if your theme’s content.php file has comment_form in it.
If not, you’ll need to either get in touch with the theme author and ask that they update their theme, or, use a child theme to fix it yourself.
By using a child theme, you can copy over any of the parent theme files and edit them without having them overwritten by a theme update.
So you’d copy the content.php file from your current theme into your child theme and replace the method that they’re displaying the comments form and replace it with the correct function:
<?php comment_form(); ?>I hope that helps.

BlockedThanks for trying that, Luciane. It’s a bummer that didn’t work. Perhaps we can try this alternate version:
https://gist.github.com/jamigibbs/d17f29f25bb0ad80bb99
And if that doesn’t snap it to life, it sounds like you’ll need to check with the author of the theme. They may have edited the Events Calendar template files so that the default filters are no longer there for us to accomplish this.
Let me know how that goes.

BlockedHi Liz,
It’s good to hear back from you. Unfortunately we don’t have live support at the moment but you should be able to go through the steps whenever you have a moment to do them.
You’ll just want to go through the three steps outlined below:
Let me know how it goes.

BlockedHey again Kristen!
The license will provide updates and support for 1 year after which you can re-purchase. The plugin will continue to function even if you don’t purchase another license after a year but you won’t have access to updates (we usually release updates for The Events Calendar Pro every 6-8 weeks).
Thanks again for coming by!
Kind Regards,
