ModeratorHi and welcome back 🙂
By simply adding tribe-bar=”false” to your shortcode, it will display the Filter Bar. You can learn all the shortcodes by reviewing the documentation below. Please let me know if you’re able to successfully add the Filter Bar to your shortcode and have a great evening. Cheers!
January 24, 2017 at 4:11 pm in reply to: asap — does Events Calendar pro handle these requirements? #1223268Hunter
ModeratorHi and welcome 🙂
Thank you for considering our plugins for your project! I’d be happy to help answer your questions:
– administer new events on location in the calendar by their in-house admin — that publishes to the live calendar featured on their site (also can this be done via their google calendar that updates the event calendar?)
You could most definitely accomplish this using Event Aggregator or Community Events. Simply put, Event Aggregator allows you to import events from multiple sources, including Google Calendars. Community Events allows for users to add and manage their events on the front end of your website.
– allow new users (that they permission) access to login to the back-end to create new calendars just for each of themselves (artists, local venues, agents etc)
This would require some kind of multisite installation or subdomain. Each site has one main calendar, so to have multiple independent calendars would require entirely separate installations. You could use shortcodes to display calendars with a specific criteria, but you might run into limitations. Please review the following resources relative to shortcodes and it should give you an idea on what the possibilities are:
- PRO Widget Shortcodes
- Embedding Calendar Views with the [tribe_events] Shortcode
- Inserting Calendar Content into Posts or Pages
- Embedding Single Events with the [tribe_event_inline] Shortcode
>>> and, for each of these new group’s calendars, some may be published on the live site and some only on a unique log-in for designated “members” who have been granted access to a particular calendar view only (pass-protected?) to see all venues, artists etc… but different from what the general site vision sees
What you’ve described is possible, but would require the use of additional plugins and possibly custom code depending on what you end up wanting/needing. Our Admin roles and permissions is similar to what you’d need to do and is worth the short read.
– from the groups above, I’d like the overall site owner admin to be able to add them to the access — and set up a unique account, login and calendar view just for that artist, venue etc…
What you’ve described here is similar to what our Community Events and Community Tickets plugins do. Artists and venues have a dedicated section where they can add and manage events, manage their orders/attendees, etc. I’ll provide the most useful resources I can think of below. If you have any specific questions after you’ve read them, respond back and I’ll do my best to answer.
– from the groups above, will they have their own unique overview page or calendar view that those who have been “permissioned” by the owner to see (i.e. via prepay and agreement) the full membership calendar view (i.e. a select group that has been permissioned to the internal view , not public-facing)… that can also be sorted by any of those people who have been permission…
This is another scenario where you’ll most likely need to use additional plugins and custom code.
– can each of these groups above be grouped by tags of the owner’s choosing (i.e. “artist”, “agent”, “venue”, etc — ) so that visitors can search them on the back end (or front end) by those tags?
If you’re using the Members plugin for example, you would be able to create whatever roles you need (artist, agent, venue) and assign privileges you deem necessary for each role. So long as that information isn’t private, it should be searchable on the front end.
Our plugin includes venues and organizers which are searchable. Please take a look at this event on our demo site and you’ll notice venue and organizer information, including links to their individual pages which displays all events relative to their particular location or organization. You can use the snippets found on this page to change the word of events, venues, and organizers to anything you’d prefer.
– can each of these groups update their calendar externally on their own once permission? i.e. can they go to a page to manually update their calendar? and/or can they update by their editing their google account (if they have it) on their own and it will populate this event calendar?
You would need Community Events in order for these groups to be able to manage their own events from the front end of your website. The other option is to set up a scheduled import to run regularly which imports events from their Google Calendar into your WordPress website. You would need Event Aggregator for this.
I hope I’ve helped answer your questions. I think the best idea for you in this instance would be to purchase one of our Bundles as you’re going to need many of our plugins to accomplish what you’ve described. You’ll save money by going that route, too.
We have a 30-day money back Refund policy which allows plenty of time to see if you’re able to accomplish the task using our plugins. I really don’t think it’s going to be possible for me to answer all of your questions with 100% accuracy due to the number of different features and functionalities you need, so I encourage you to take the leap and worst comes to worst, we refund your purchase if things don’t work out.
I encourage you to review all the links I’ve shared in my response as they’ll be able to answer your questions in much great detail than I. If you still need assistance, please let me know if you have any additional questions or if anything I’ve said needs further clarification and I’d be happy to help. Have a great night! Cheers 🙂
January 24, 2017 at 3:23 pm in reply to: Setting an Event as Featured Causes some unwanted changes #1223252Hunter
ModeratorWelcome back 🙂
Can you send a link to a page which displays your featured events? The best way to adjust the featured events image size is most likely using CSS. Check out these relative articles and please let me know if they help: Featured Events and Featured Images.
You can use shortcodes to display featured events:
- PRO Widget Shortcodes
- Embedding Calendar Views with the [tribe_events] Shortcode
- Inserting Calendar Content into Posts or Pages
- Embedding Single Events with the [tribe_event_inline] Shortcode
Thanks and let me know how everything goes. Cheers!

ModeratorHello 🙂
Welcome and thank you for reaching out to our Pre-Sales Questions Channel! We appreciate you considering our plugins for your project. At this time, you would need to look into using an additional plugin and/or building those customizations yourself. This isn’t the first request we’ve had for this feature, so please take a moment and visit our UserVoice Feature Ideas and upvote/submit the request.
I’ve used Bolder Fees for WooCommerce to achieve what you’ve described, but it has been awhile so I’m not really sure if it’s still a viable option. Please let me know if this helps address your concerns and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions. Cheers!

ModeratorHey Jennifer,
Welcome back and sorry to see you’re experiencing troubles. Before I can test the issue myself, can you please review our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with your findings?
If you are able to reproduce the behavior, please send exact step-by-step instructions so I can test the issue. Screenshots and screencasts are always helpful. Thank you for choosing PRO and have a wonderful afternoon 🙂

ModeratorGlad to see you’ve identified the source of conflict! I’m not too surprised to hear this – I’ve struggled with W3 Total Cache myself. Each site is different, so it’s hard to give a definitive answer, but I’ll provide the resources I have that pertain to caching below:

ModeratorHey Monica 🙂
Welcome back and sorry to see you here under the circumstances. Thank you for reviewing the Testing for conflicts guide before opening the thread. Doing so enables me to go directly to testing the issue. I also appreciate the amount of detail provided.
Your good work up front enabled me to reproduce the behavior as you’ve described it. I’ve logged a detailed bug report and added this forum thread to the ticket which helps expedite the process of getting a fix included in an upcoming release. I don’t have a precise date when it will be available, but please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information.
Seeing this issue was released in Event Tickets version 4.4.0.1 and Event Tickets Plus version 4.4, you can revert back to versions 4.3.5 on your Downloads page as a temporary workaround. Thanks again and let me know if you’ve got any additional questions or comments. Cheers!
January 23, 2017 at 9:10 pm in reply to: How to display a list of recently added/changed events? #1222757Hunter
ModeratorHello and welcome back!
There is no built-in shortcode which displays recently added/updated events, though it is a great idea! The first thing I’d do is visit our UserVoice Feature Ideas and submit the request there.
You could use tribe_get_events to display the most recently added/updated events anywhere on your site, so take a look at that tutorial. The snippet on our Have the List Widget display the most recently added events tutorial might also be a good starting point. I unfortunately won’t be able to help with the coding but if you come up with a working snippet, feel free to share for other users!
Best of luck and have a great evening. Cheers!

ModeratorHi, Cynthia!
Thank you for your purchase and welcome to our Premium Plugin support forums. The first step in this scenario is to review the Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with what you learn. It would also be helpful if you could include your System Information as a private reply.
Thanks again and have a great evening. Cheers!

ModeratorHi and welcome,
Thank you for your purchase and hopefully you’re loving PRO so far! I recently logged a feature report aimed to allow users to easily change where the “All Events” text links to. I’ve added this forum thread to the report which helps increase attention to the matter. Luckily, there is a snippet already available! Try adding it to your theme’s functions.php file file and let me know how it works out.
Thanks again and have a good evening. Cheers!

ModeratorHi Marianne,
Welcome back!
At this time, you’d probably need to investigate further for a plugin which does allow duplication from the front end or build the customizations yourself. I think it’s a great idea and valid request, so please take a moment and submit the request to our UserVoice Feature Ideas. I know this isn’t an ideal answer and hopefully it’s not too difficult. If you do come up with a solution, I’m sure other users would love you forever if you shared it! Cheers 🙂

ModeratorHello 🙂
Most email providers have a way for you to download emails. For example, users using Gmail can open the email containing their ticket and hit the arrow in the right-hand corner and select ‘Print’. They’ll be taken to a screen which generates a preview of what the printed email will look like. More info on printing Gmail emails can be found here. For other email providers, try doing a web search for “printing Yahoo emails” or “printing Hotmail emails” and you should be able to find directions.
Let me know if you’re able to successfully print your tickets and have a wonderful evening. Cheers!

ModeratorHello,
You are correct – it doesn’t appear to be possible setting the venue map boxes to be checked by default using the code from the tutorial I linked to above. After doing more research, it’s going to be more time-consuming than I originally thought, so I’ve brought in another support team member to help. Feel free to reply in ~24 hours and hopefully I’ve got something functional for you by then.
I also recommend submitting this as a feature request to our UserVoice Feature Ideas page. I can see the benefit of having the option in the Events settings allowing either/or both boxes checked/unchecked by default on the Community Events Add event form.
Thanks and I’ll keep an eye on my queue for your response. Enjoy your evening!

ModeratorHello,
Welcome to our Pre-Sales Questions channel and thank you for considering us for your project! I took a minute to see if I could find any examples of users moving from EventOn to The Events Calendar, but wasn’t able to track anything down.
I personally have transitioned events from The Events Calendar to EventOn awhile back for testing purposes and remember it being fairly straightforward, so I imagine the reverse would be a similar level of difficulty. There are plugins in the WP repository made for this exact scenario. I believe I used Convert Post Types, Better Search Replace or Search & Replace, and maybe one or two more plugins to get the job done.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions or comments. Cheers!
