    Hey Keira,

I’m really sorry to hear about this on your site – I’m also sorry to share the news that there’s recently been a bug with APM and its date filtering, specifically. We are working very hard on a fix for this but it’s a hard bug to pin down, and an odd one since it was working quite well before!

To make it easier to bulk-select items from July that you can delete, I’d recommend doing the following steps instead as a temporary workaround:

    1. Go to the “Events” page in the admin.
    2. Ignore the APM filters for now, but go up to the “screen options” tab in the top-right corner of the page.
    3. Click this – it should open a “drawer” with an option of how many items to show on the page. Here is a screenshot for reference → https://cloudup.com/ckoE17ePQbq
    4. Set that number to something quite high – the maximum number will depend on your site, but you might be able to get away with setting this as high as 100 or 150!
    5. Click “Apply”, and then let the page fully load. This may take some time depending on your web server, but it will load after a bit.
    6. Once it’s loaded, filter your table by “Start Date” – DO NOT use APM for this, just click the “Start Date” column in the table. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean, for reference → https://cloudup.com/cYkhynKu6mq
    7. That will sort events by date. The ones in July might be a few pages back, depending on how many events you have – if this is the case, just patiently click through each page until you get events in July.
    8. Once you get to the events in July, Bulk Select all the events there and click “Delete”. Then repeat this until all of the July events are gone.

I know this isn’t ideal, and am really, really sorry for the inconvenience with APM. But hopefully this method will still let you delete July events 100 at a time (or more).

Let us know if this helps or if you have any other questions, comments, concerns, etc. here.

    Thank you!

    Hey @corrado,

This is unfortunately a specific design customization you’d need to make for your site. We cannot help with those here on the forums.

You mention already understanding the themes and such, but just in case you haven’t seen this specific Themer’s Guide yet, check this out for sure → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

The basic idea for your needs would be to head to src/functions/template-tags/google-map.php and use those map-related template tags to add the Maps wherever you’d like.

Then to get it to work/look nicely, you can use CSS to style the maps however you see fit.

Best of luck with your customizations! And be sure to keep good back-ups of them 😉

    Hey @Rochelle,

This unfortunately sounds like a Zapier and WooCommerce question, not something related to The Events Calendar itself – we don’t have any custom Zapier integrations at the moment, would you mind clarifying exactly what you mean by this:

I have the new zapeir with webhook set up.

I hope to provide at least some advice here, but I am not familiar with the code or the webhook you’re referring to, so hopefully we can start there and maybe get to a useful piece of advice here about integrating with The Events Calendar.

Also, if you have a Zapier plugin for WooCommerce or something specifically, can you upload a copy of it to http://ge.tt and then share a link to that download in your reply? It’s only for us, for testing out and seeing if we can indeed offer some help here.

    Thanks!

    Hey @sunonet,

If you deactivate a plugin on your site called “Easy Modal”, does anything improve here? If not, I’d recommend proceeding with the rest of the steps outlined here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Let us know what you find!

    Hey Deirdre,

Sorry to hear you’re having some issues – can you clarify exactly which fields you’re referring to when you mention “Additional Information Fields”?

I’d recommend reading this article in full: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-additional-fields/

Be sure that you’re doing each step there accurately.

If you’re sure that you’re doing each step 100% accurately and still have issues, then can you proceed with clarifying each of these details:

    1. What version of The Events Calendar is active on your site?
    2. What version of Events Calendar Pro is active on your site?
    3. What is a URL to a specific event on your site that you tried adding additional fields to?
    4. Do any of your problems still persist if you deactivate ALL plugins on your site, except for just The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro themselves of course?

    Thank you!

    Hey Gabriel,

Before proceeding to other steps, I’d recommend upgrading your version of WooCommerce Tickets since it is both out of date in general, and out of date in relation to the other Tribe plugin versions on your site (which are all at 3.11.x, while WooTickets is at 3.9.x).

The current version of WooCommerce Tickets is 3.11, which you can download at https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/.

Once you update that, let me know how things are behaving on your site.

    Thank you!

    Hey Nat,

Can you open up a separate thread here? In that thread, please note the following details:

    1. What version of The Events Calendar is currently active on your site?
    2. What version of WooCommerce Tickets is currently active on your site?
    3. What version of WooCommerce is currently active on your site?
    4. What version of WordPress itself are you running?

Don’t mean to force you out here, but your issue might have a different source than Gabriel’s and having different threads will allow us to handle them more efficiently.

    Thank you!

    Hey @Corrado,

I’m glad part of your issues here are resolved, and I also appreciate the login information that you shared, but I removed it as soon as I saw it for security reasons – we cannot log into customer sites under any circumstance, but your willingness to work with us to resolve this is much appreciated!

As for your issues with sorting, I get some weird behavior here:

I tested sorting by title, and it did NOT work, as you reported. So there is likely a bug here – I will alert our development team immediately.

However, when I sorted by Venue, that DID work fine for me – is sorting by the venue what you mean when you say “filter event by location”?

Thanks for your patience with this, and while I’m very sorry about the title-sorting bug and any frustration this has caused you, we really appreciate you putting that bug on our radar now and we will get fixed as soon as possible!

    Thanks,
    George

    Hey Fabio,

No need for custom quotes or deadlines or anything like that, you’re in total control here and whenever you’d like, you can just head to the product pages for the products you’d like and buy a license at any time.

Head here to buy a license for Events Calendar Pro: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/

And head here to buy a license for Eventbrite Tickets: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/

    Cheers!

    Hey @sesumiloa,

What level of license did you purchase?

Also, if you head to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys, how many websites is the license currently activated on?

You can disconnect any unwanted sites on that page if you’d like. Each license allows a certain number of activations, and if you activate the license on the allowed number of sites, if you then try to activate it on more sites you will experience the “Sorry, this key is out of installs” notice you experienced.

    Cheers,

    Hey Bert,

Thank you for the update. I’m glad that some of your issues are resolved for now, where do things stand with your questions? It seems like only #3 is unanswered so far:

3)Am I correct that there’s still no diet preference field attendants can share and I van see in an overview?

That is correct – diet preference fields are not a built-in feature. You can certainly write custom Meta Field code to collect any such data you’d like, but at this time it unfortunately does require custom coding.

    Thank you!

    Hey Emre,

Thanks for your interest in the plugin! I’ll address your questions in order:

Can the plugin be used for tour as opposed to events? Although the two seem very similar, they have different requirements as contents

If you make a “Tour” just a normal event, that has a simple start date and end date, then yes it should be fine. If you intend to have many different events, for example, all be one “Tour”, then unfortunately there’s not a way to link them all together at this time without custom coding or something.

Recurring/reusable packages: a package (say Turkey tour of 7 days) will be offered with different start dates. The difference between these tours will be limited to their start and end dates. everything else will be the same. So the client (agency) should be able to enter the information of the package once, and then add as many of it as he likes.

I’m not quite certain what you mean here even with the details you provided – I am sorry about my misunderstanding! In general, if what you mean is that a type of event or a type of series of events can just be duplicated easily, this is not a built-in feature of the plugin.

Can I offer a quota management for each tour?

If you’re selling a ticket for an event, each ticket has a “Stock” feature to indeed track how many tickets are available and how many have been sold and such. Otherwise, there is not quota management.

Is booking with mail order an option?

If you have WooCommerce Tickets, then WooCommerce will be your payment platform. For Mail order, or bank deposit, or any other “custom” sort of payment processing, this is not handled by our plugins but instead is handled by WooCommerce itself. So your best option is to look for mail-related “Payment Gateways” on WooCommerce’s website here → http://www.woothemes.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/payment-gateways/

Can I add optional events to a package for the visitor to choose from. for instance a skiing lesson option for a mountain tour? If selected, the price will be added to the tour price.

Something exactly like what you described is not currently possible, but you can sell multiple different ticket types which may suit your needs just as well.

I hope this addresses your questions adequately – let us know what you think!

    Hey @A,

While we cannot help with the code-level changes required to make a customization like this, you should indeed be able to customize the Community Events submission form quite extensively.

The edit-event.php file is one you can add to your theme at some point if you want to customize it extensively, but it starts out in the files for the Community Events plugin itself. So instead of the file path you shared in your post, try instead navigating to here:

    wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/edit-event.php

In fact, basically any and every Community Events template file you’d need to edit are right there in that src/views/community folder.

The theme-related path you original shared refers to using template overrides for this file, which is highly recommended – you can learn about that in-depth in our Themer’s Guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

As for your second question, in general, yes you can call a shortcode via PHP which should help you achieve what you mention trying to do here. For a quick example, if those fields are generated normally by the shorcode [example_fields_login], then in the PHP template overrides for Community Events that you write, you can “hard-code” or program that shortcode into the file by writing PHP that uses the do_shortcode() function, like this:

    <?php echo do_shortcode( '[example_fields_login]' ); ?>

This should all help you get started on the customizations you want to make here. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!

    Hey Michele,

I’m sorry to hear about your issues! Can you clarify exactly what you mean when you write this:

the Upcoming Events feed was not displaying events chronologically

What do you mean by “Chronologically”? Do you mean that an event that would start on August 20th, for example, was showing higher up on the page than an event that started on, say, August 10th?

Or do you mean something else?

If my example above is what you found, then unfortunately doing theme/plugin deactivation tests, or at the least allowing errors to print on your site are the best steps we can start with for troubleshooting. I know how annoying it can be to do this on a live site – and hopefully we can avoid those steps! But let me know a bit more about the nature of your order problem itself, and what exactly you mean by “Chronological order” – we can continue from there.

    Thank you!
    George
