    Hiya,

We’re having a problem with the Advanced Post Manager filters. When I select any of the filter options nothing happens e.g when I select ‘End Date’ no dates appear to choose from…nothing…

Please help asap as I desperately need to delete all of July’s events as they are slowing our site down dramatically.

Also i’ve just noticed that the filters are working in the ‘Pending Events’ category but no others…

    Hey Keira,

I’m really sorry to hear about this on your site – I’m also sorry to share the news that there’s recently been a bug with APM and its date filtering, specifically. We are working very hard on a fix for this but it’s a hard bug to pin down, and an odd one since it was working quite well before!

To make it easier to bulk-select items from July that you can delete, I’d recommend doing the following steps instead as a temporary workaround:

    1. Go to the “Events” page in the admin.
    2. Ignore the APM filters for now, but go up to the “screen options” tab in the top-right corner of the page.
    3. Click this – it should open a “drawer” with an option of how many items to show on the page. Here is a screenshot for reference → https://cloudup.com/ckoE17ePQbq
    4. Set that number to something quite high – the maximum number will depend on your site, but you might be able to get away with setting this as high as 100 or 150!
    5. Click “Apply”, and then let the page fully load. This may take some time depending on your web server, but it will load after a bit.
    6. Once it’s loaded, filter your table by “Start Date” – DO NOT use APM for this, just click the “Start Date” column in the table. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean, for reference → https://cloudup.com/cYkhynKu6mq
    7. That will sort events by date. The ones in July might be a few pages back, depending on how many events you have – if this is the case, just patiently click through each page until you get events in July.
    8. Once you get to the events in July, Bulk Select all the events there and click “Delete”. Then repeat this until all of the July events are gone.

I know this isn’t ideal, and am really, really sorry for the inconvenience with APM. But hopefully this method will still let you delete July events 100 at a time (or more).

Let us know if this helps or if you have any other questions, comments, concerns, etc. here.

    Thank you!
    George

Thanks @Keira! I know it’s not ideal, but hopefully will work until we get things fixed and improved.

I’ll close up this thread for now with these things in mind – if you have any other questions or concerns, however, don’t hesitate to come back and open a new thread any time!

    Cheers,
    George
