ParticipantHiya,
We’re having a problem with the Advanced Post Manager filters. When I select any of the filter options nothing happens e.g when I select ‘End Date’ no dates appear to choose from…nothing…
Please help asap as I desperately need to delete all of July’s events as they are slowing our site down dramatically.

ParticipantHey Keira,
I’m really sorry to hear about this on your site – I’m also sorry to share the news that there’s recently been a bug with APM and its date filtering, specifically. We are working very hard on a fix for this but it’s a hard bug to pin down, and an odd one since it was working quite well before!
To make it easier to bulk-select items from July that you can delete, I’d recommend doing the following steps instead as a temporary workaround:
- Go to the “Events” page in the admin.
- Ignore the APM filters for now, but go up to the “screen options” tab in the top-right corner of the page.
- Click this – it should open a “drawer” with an option of how many items to show on the page. Here is a screenshot for reference → https://cloudup.com/ckoE17ePQbq
- Set that number to something quite high – the maximum number will depend on your site, but you might be able to get away with setting this as high as 100 or 150!
- Click “Apply”, and then let the page fully load. This may take some time depending on your web server, but it will load after a bit.
- Once it’s loaded, filter your table by “Start Date” – DO NOT use APM for this, just click the “Start Date” column in the table. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean, for reference → https://cloudup.com/cYkhynKu6mq
- That will sort events by date. The ones in July might be a few pages back, depending on how many events you have – if this is the case, just patiently click through each page until you get events in July.
- Once you get to the events in July, Bulk Select all the events there and click “Delete”. Then repeat this until all of the July events are gone.
I know this isn’t ideal, and am really, really sorry for the inconvenience with APM. But hopefully this method will still let you delete July events 100 at a time (or more).
Let us know if this helps or if you have any other questions, comments, concerns, etc. here.
Thank you!

ParticipantThanks @Keira! I know it’s not ideal, but hopefully will work until we get things fixed and improved.
I’ll close up this thread for now with these things in mind – if you have any other questions or concerns, however, don’t hesitate to come back and open a new thread any time!
Cheers,
George -
