ParticipantHey @corrado,
This is unfortunately a specific design customization you’d need to make for your site. We cannot help with those here on the forums.
You mention already understanding the themes and such, but just in case you haven’t seen this specific Themer’s Guide yet, check this out for sure → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
The basic idea for your needs would be to head to src/functions/template-tags/google-map.php and use those map-related template tags to add the Maps wherever you’d like.
Then to get it to work/look nicely, you can use CSS to style the maps however you see fit.
Best of luck with your customizations! And be sure to keep good back-ups of them 😉

ParticipantI just wish to add a map filled with the category events (just like cat map view) inside the cat photo view keeping all the rest regarding photo view template.
Not an hard task I think.Sorry but your tech documents are not clear enough, at least for me.
I checked google-map.php and I’m relly confused…. for sure not self explanatory.https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/ is quite a mess of posted function with no explanation at all.
You do not even support some sort of shortcode to help theming.
I did not ask you to do the job but just to explain me how to do that.
I paid for the Event plugin and it was supposed to be some sort of help included.More I dig inside your plugin and more I feel myself quite disappointed: bugs, incoherence, waste of time understanding things supposed to be definitely more easy.

ParticipantHey @corrado,
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with some of these things. I would like to highlight two things you said.
First, this:
I checked google-map.php and I’m relly confused…. for sure not self explanatory.
And then this:
Not an hard task I think.
If you are unable to make sense of any of the code, how are you able to determine that this is “not a hard task”? Because in my opinion, the customizations you are trying to make are a bit of a “hard task” – which is precisely what makes them too complicated for us to help with here on the forums.
I’m sorry if that’s frustrating, but do not have more specific code advice to help with.
Barry and I have both fielded your other support requests here and have logged the bugs you reported, and we’re working hard on fixing them.
If you’re too profoundly disappointed here, I’m genuinely sorry to hear that, but would like you to know that we’re happy to refund your purchase. If you’ve made your purchase within the last 30 days, forward copies of your email receipts to [email protected] and we will issue a refund in full.

ParticipantThanks for the reply.
The product for sure is quite good and I’m going to use it for my project.I hope soon you will solve the bugs (this is very important) and maybe help developer jobs with more ‘widget’ or similar.
With hard task I mean that for sure it is hard if started from the raw php code, but a plugin is supposed to help customizing with some shorcuts like [shortode] or similar.
I checked several of yours template tags and I know how to use them in wordpress but I was not able to solve the issue. I missed something.
I’m living now and will be back to my project on 17/8.
